after 10 years using a £10 putter and never having any probs with it I started reading up on new putters and bettinardi seemed to come highly recommended. couldnt get an original for under £300 so i tried the baby ben by hogan and find it slightly heavy on address but on swing the head takes a very true line back and through. hard to explain but i have rarely pulled or pushed any putts with it. took a week to get used to the weight right esp on putts under 10ft where head weight made me regularly overhit a few. after 1 week i find it a very true putter with good feel and at a great price. not loving the lime green cover tho!

I know hat you're thinking-- 48"? Cheater. But at least for now these tall putters are legal. The real eason I like this putter and it's style is that it doesn't conform with the crowd. I'm a junior golfer and my mom doesn't want me using it around her due to the green grip. But performance is what really counts. I've already made three 20+ foot putts after 54 holes of golf. Inspires confidence on short putts. It is hard to leave the ball short of the hole. You have to at least try it.

What can i say about the baby ben well firstly i swapped to baby ben as my old white hot two ball putter went dead cold on me. the baby ben is silky smooth, the alignment is forward pressd slightly closed which is good as it makes you lock your wrists in an open setup, delevering a solid putting strike time after time. Due to its soft face it takes awhile to get your distance control right but one you have its an amazing putter esp on the long lag up puts. its for the golfer looking for a heavy putter which devlivers a soft feel.

Model Reviewed: Bettinardi Baby Ben 33 inch shaft

I got this putter because of the short shaft and my preference for mallet putters. Initially I felt that this putter left the ball short. The reason was that my eyes were not properly over the ball and I was hitting it off the toe. Now that I have corrected my set up this problem has been solved. I find that this putter is very easy to line up and the 'T' configuration index marks make lining up feet, hips and shoulders easy. It swings with a nice pendulum motion and has a very soft feel (especially with the likes of the Maxfli Revoultion and Callaway HX blue). It is also a very stable putter. Highly recommended.

Altogether a very strange putter! Head is large and cumbersome looking, inciting concerns on fast greens. However, this is where it get strange, because this putter has one of the softest feels I have ever encountered. For the first week everything I hit was short but then, oh baby ben, did it get better. Once the pace has been mastered the feel is unquestionable, the alignment is very easy and the stroke is ultra dependable. There are many putters out there and many reasons to buy them but this putter is trully unique. This putter manages to combine all the good points from the different styles in one package.

A little addendum to the review I just posted: The Hogan putter has significantly more forward press built in to the shaft than the Bettinardis do. I find this situation (common to a lot of new putters) to give the appearance of a closed face at address. I had the shaft bent back to nearly verticle which straightens out the alignment and now it sets up just like the Bettinardis.

I've had this putter, in addition to three real Bettinardi Baby Bees, for several months now and I have to tell you, that these are great putters. Their appearance and weight are so conducive to a smooth stroke that the six and ten footers are just about gimmes. Having both the Hogan and Bettinardis, I can also say that there is no discernable difference between the two, except for the gunmetal gray finish on the Hogans and the grips (both are good). Pick one up, you won't regret it.

One of the new MOI putters.Looks are somewhat bulky but not a bad looking putter. It has a stepless double bend shaft with a Winn V17 grip with the Bettanardi name.Overall a nice looking unit.In use it performs well on off center hits-balls tend to roll as intended and not off to the right or left on off center hits. The swing weight feels nice but is on the heavy side.Finish is first rate but not any better than other top line putters in the $200 range. The cover seems to be made from a very soft material and gets holes in it very easy. Also if your bag has a putter slot this head will not fit very well due to size.Does it help putts that are hit off center-YES for sure.Is it better than most other putters-YES I think. Is it the best putter on the market-well thats a personal thing but this putter is deserves a try!
