Being an erratic putter at best, I decided to get my putting stroke analyzed and to be fitted for a putter. The shop I went to used the SAM PuttLab analysis method. I highly recommend it. I discovered with the putter I was using that my aim was open to the hole by an average of 1.2 degrees. There were many more surprises that I won't go into now. After the analysis, my instuctor selected 3 different putters to try. It was no contest. I fell in love with the Bettinardi BB-27 which is new for 2011. It is face balanced and weighs 340G. It is absolutely beautiful measuring 33 1/2" The grip is perfect for me as I have smaller hands. In addition it is really nice looking being a combination of blue & white. I had the loft changed to 4 degrees which gave me a predicted loft of 5.1 degrees. The lie angle was bent just a bit to fit my stroke. This putter exudes confidence. My first round with it was tremendous especially with putts that were 5 feet and in. That length has always been a killer for me. Distance putts will take some adjusting to as this putter is much heavier than the Odyssey #7 I have been used to using. A nice little bonus is that the putter cover is really sharp looking. It really stands out. Anyhow I would give this putter a high recommendation. Its not cheap but how much is it worth to you to make those 5-6 foot putts consistently?
