An aluminum semi-mallet with the HSM (hole seeking material) as an insert. Bent shaft goes directly into the clubhead, producing a face-balanced putter. One central sightline on topline, with two sightlines on the flange.

HSM is actually the same isobutadiene that the cores of the best golf balls are made out of. It produces a soft, solid feel. In the early HSM putters Mr. Grace had a single thickness/response, and it was well-received on the PGA Tour. In fact, HSM putters once held the top 10 positions in one of the events!

Later models with MacGregor changed the HSM to be move reponsive on the heel and toe portions, so a mis-strike would travel the same distance as a sweet-spot hit. Mr. Grace has a patent on this Distance Correcting Technology (DCT), and it is used by his new private company that builds custom-milled putters in Florida.

I find the insert to be more appealing than corresponding products by Odyssey and Ping. If you have used all-metal clubfaces for decades like I had, then you will have to re-calibrate your stroke to propel the ball the same distance with the softer insert. I putted 10 minutes per day for two weeks, and one afternoon the adjustment just "clicked." I think the HSM or DCT is better than just a metal face.

The putters are still seen on websites like eBay. I paid $30-40 after shipping for each of mine, and I have 7 different models from heel-shafted blades to the Cute Kid semi-mallet that is discussed here.

I have a fair golf game and shoot in the low 80's consistantly. The problem is on the flat surface. I have tried all the "Big Boys". Scotty Cameron makes top quality stuff, Odyssey is selling a ton, Ping is a top dog, Taylor Made is always at the top of the Market & I could go on & on. The fact is I bought myself two old "Bobby Grace by Cobra Putters" and my game is on now! Amazing Grace & Lo Pro ROCK!. It is totally undescrible how easy the puppies are to lag and make a ton of putts. The problem is finding the babies on EBAY cause they are rare. If you are a Pro or Am, look hard and long, cause they worth every penny you spend. Good luck in the Hunt!!!!!

I have a fair golf game which consists of shooting in the low 80's consistantly. My problem came on the flat service. I would hit the greens many times in regulation and 3 putt! Kinda of hurt my feelings if ya know what I mean :o(... Well I tried all the Big Boys. Scotty Cameron is great for some folks, Odyssey is a very nice product and Ping rocks. Taylor Made, MacGregor,& if I miss some folks I'm sorry but these old Cobras are the BOSS for me. I bought two because my Irons, Woods, and Hybrids are Cobras. I bought the Imazing Grace by Bobby Grace, & the Low Pro by Bobby Grace for Cobra. To the point is I am more consistant on long and short putts than I have ever been in my life. The problem is these puppies are hard too find! If you find one, Pro or Am, you need to buy it now. That's all I got to say about it.

Customer Service

I'm 14, and i've been playing golf for two years now. I'm fairly long off the tee, but my problem is being able to get up and down . A few weeks ago I bought a Lo Pro, and put my White Hot away for good. Since I've been playing with this putter, I've shaved at least three to five strokes off my game. Now I'm draining more puts than ever thanks to my new Bobby Grace Lo Pro!

The putter took some time to get used to, but once I was able to adjust my mechanics to get used to the insert, I found this was a great putter. Has a nice soft feel to it.

I''ve been looking at this putter for 2 years+, but I just picked it up last summer after I lost confidence in my old putter. I was having too many bad putting days mainly because I don''t play as much anymore - kids will do that to ya. I was apprehensive on buying an insert putter, especially a soft one. But in the store, I was able to drain more putts then any others day-in day-out. The head never twists, even when hit off center. The alignment lines are second to none. I had problems with distance the first few times out when I struck the ball too high. This is not a problem any more & I have never putt better. I just had a record 27 putt round. And my last time out, I sunk 2 putts over 10 ft, birdie birdie coming in for a -1. I don''t have bad putting days anymore.

I bought this one in a scond hand store.
I´ve now played it for 3 rounds and I´ve putted like never before! All 3 rounds under 30 putts!
My Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum is now for sale (pretty cheap too).
(this putter is a "real" Bobby Grace product, made before the Cobra overtaking).
I will not sell this one for any $$$.

In the gazillion years I've been playing this is the best putter I've ever used. A solid combination of looks and feel. I even went so far as to buy a second knowing that someday I'd need a backup. All 4 in our regular foresome now use the Lo Pro. Try it once and you're hooked.
