This is a beautiful looking putter, truely a tuxedo for the dance floor. The 'wet paint' shiny black and silver finish seems more durable than that on the older Z|1 series, but I only take the headcover off at the green anyway. It has a steel milled face with the insert behind the hitting surface for vibration dampening. This face-balanced mallet sounds muted at contact, but it feels solid, not overly soft like some insert putters. The face is quite sensitive; I can feel the difference between ball compression while practice putting. The head is 330g and favors a back and through pendulum stroke, but the face is not hot, so an aggressive stroke is prefered to dial in distance. As with all Never Compromise putters, alignment is very simple with the Black/Grey/Black color scheme. The Winn grip matches the club head perfectly, another NC trademark, and is a dream on the hands. Cleveland Golf now owns this company, so I hope they continue the Never Compromise tradition of unique putter designs.
