Tried several putters of this type, since I find the modern "spaceship" putters totally absurd ( you have to concentrate on the putt and not the putter)with all their lines and balls drawings and leds and all that crap. Well, you know when you have a Classic in your hands. Just need a couple full courses to get used to it. Then I NAILED it to my bag. A must, definitively.

Touch. This says it all, after playing nearly every putter Callaway, Odyssey, Taylor Made and Scotty Cameron has to offer, I can comfortably say the Ping Anser has the purest touch of any putter I've ever had the pleasure to try. Next time you stop in your local golf superstore or pro shop, do not forget to pick up this club. Even on mis-hits I was thoroughly impressed in this putters ability to keep it close. Every amateur knows that saving par is the way to compete and making your 2-putt every time is the way to do it. The Anser provided me with such comfortable feel that I was keeping the ball within 18 inches of the cup every time even making contact as far as an inch off center. make it a priority to hit this putter, I don't care if you spent 250 bucks on your Titleist Scotty Cameron blade, this putter will give you the confidence to keep it close every time....oh and all those birdies and eagles aren't too bad either.

I'LL NEVER GET RID OF IT.
Been playing this putter since Moby Dick
was a minnow. I probably have 20 years on
it. Just a new grip every now and then.
I've tried 'em all...mallets, half mallets, other blades, everything but a
happy gilmore odyssee hockey putter.
Everything else feels off. As far as
weight, feel, alignment, swing weight,
you can't beat it. I'm actually afraid
to switch.

I inherited this putter from my dad after he passed away and I would not trade this for anything. He bought this in the early 60's when it first came out and I'm sure it's worth something, but that's beside the point. Sentimentality aside, this is stil my favorite putter of all time. I started using this putter when I was about 9 years old and am 34 now. Like other reviewers have stated, try all the gimmicky and new technology putters you want, you still won't get the same feel that this putter offers. Once you master it, you can't let it go. If my house ever caught fire, this is the first thing I'm grabbing... well, after my wife. :)

Never had to use. I've replaced the grip several times, but always at a local shop.

I love this putter. Sometimes I doubt whether it is the most forgiving putter in the world but I wouldnt change for anything. The weight is and shape are both perfect for me. Plus I love the feedback it provides. If your looking for a straight forward putter that doesnt cost you £250 then this is the one for you. Im so glad I purchased this club, after a few mistakes with belly putters. Ive only given it 4 stars because I think it could be a little more forgiving on off centred putts.

Messed around with a lot of putter, from Carbite, to Odyssey, to Scotty Cameron (Newport 2 and the Futura), then I found this putter for 25 bucks at a used golf club store. Hasn't left my bag since. It gives you good feedback, sweet sound off the face, and you don't have to deal with glare (on the non SS models). I still keep the futura as a back up putter, but it has sat in my living room the past 2 years.

Maybe the best putter of all time. I prefer the copper, as the SS is a little light for me. Classic design, just ask Scotty, who made his name copying this and other Ping putters. Try all of the gimmicky stuff out there, then, with a sigh of relief, come back to the Anser 2 and start draining your putts again. I believe that one should stick with a putter for a long time, and not be changing all of the time. I am as guilty as the next guy in doing this, but you never really get grooved until you have taken the same putter into the field again, again and again... And this is a classic you can be confident in. Just NOTHING to improve in this design. And ask Tiger how he likes Pingman grips. :-)

Most all of 'em. For a mallet, the Never Compromise GM2 exchange #1 is darn good. But BeCU Anser 2 is it.

Got this putter free froma friend. Not really impressed with it. Although it gives you feedback, I didn't like the feel or the look of it. Went and bought the Odyssey White Steel #1 blade and happy I did. OverallI putted well with this putter, just not the same amount of confidence in it as I have in my White Steel.
