Very responsive. I have an older version but is still a great feeling club!

Insert has good balance: takes the heat out of 2-piece surlyn balls but still feels crisp with softer wound balls. No alignment line really makes you concentrate on what you're doing, which is a good thing.

Terrific putter! It gives a reassuring click unlike other insert putters and is a gem to putt with. This putter is very upright and it took me some time to adjust so that the toe wasn't up a la Isao Aoki. Please be sure it fits right because if you putt with hands low, you'll be disappointed. Fitting issues aside, it sets up well, rolls the ball great, and has excellent feel.

Great sight line; excellent balance; generous blade height combined with soft insert inspires confidence that excellent contact will be made; a much better value than the Scotty Cameron Newport II I also own.

I bought this putter in France after I had had enough three putting for a lifetime, and took it to the practice green immediately, and then to the course. I love the satiny finish on it, and the insert is not soft, but not hard as metal, and gives a reassuring ""click"" when the ball is stroked. Ping has always produced quality putters, and this is no exeption. There are still a few errant shots here and there, but in all honesty, what can one expect? We are not tour players, and so shouldn't expect to putt like them. However, even on the mis-hits, the damage control is great. From 12 feet and in, putts were being dropped one after the other. The simple black line aligns perfectly, and the grip is excellent. The next day I took the putter to the course, a devil with lightning quick undulating greens. At the first hole, the drive was topped, a three wood layed up to the green, a pitch went errant and ended up fifteen feet from the hole on a ridge in the green, but the putter struck the ball dead centre. It hit the hole and dropped. A par after two awful shots. Now THAT'S damage control. However let me be honest, do not expect miracles like some other reviewers say there will be with various putters, because it's not gonna happen and you'll end up frustrated at having blown all that money. Expect consistency, and accuracy. With time your play will improve and you'll know that it was you who improved it, not some piece of metal. For $100, it's not a bad deal either.

First Ping and first inset (insert) putter. BJ1 was going sour. (too hot off the face) I tried about a dozen different brands and styles of putters and could not get the distance control that the Anser 1 has. Very accurate though it has no sight line (rather large sweet spot). Nice feel, not too soft or to hard. Looks great, instills confidence -- nice finish, not the cheap look of some of the other Pings. Best putter I have ever used in 33yrs of playing the game.

This is the best putter I have ever used. It has a softer feel than a Scotty Cameron which is 3x the price.I went to a pro shop and hit over 150 putters and this is the softest feeling puter and has awesome accuracy. This is one of the best putters; try it for yourself.

Ok, Ok ... I've always been of the belief that of all the clubs in your bag, that the putter was the LEAST important. I certainly could not comprehend buying a putter for $100, when a similar one could be had from KMart for $15. I mean, a putter is not swung at 100mph like a driver is. Was I WAY wrong! The upgrade to PING's putter has had a tremendous impact on my play on the greens. The feel is excellent, and no problems judging distances either. The insert is also larger than that on comparable models from Odyssey. Check it out!

This putter I did not like. The look is not good when you set up. It didn't set on the ground as I would like it to, the toe set up too high in the air. The feel was good however, but the set up on the ground was not.
