If you're one of those guys who spends $250 or more on a driver just to try it out, and you've got 3 or 4 putters you switch between because you can't settle on one, do yourself a favor and go try out the Studio Style Newport line. The Newport 2 has a more mechanical look at address than the 1 or 1.5, and has the plumbing neck, which is just personal preference.

The feel off of the stainless steel insert is great, and this putter puts great roll on the ball from any point on the insert. It sets up great at address and is easy to get on line, and swings so smoothly it's tough to get off line. It's easy to be aggressive because you know how the ball comes off, so you know if you hit the putt you want, it won't leave you 5 feet past the hole.

Overall, the best putter I've ever felt, it's in my bag for life and I strongly suggest you take a look at the Newport line if you're even thinking about spending $200 or $300 on your golf game.

Coming from a Titleist-exclusive equipment player, I can honestly say that this putter sucks.

If you can make a perfect stroke everytime, then this putter feels fair at best. Some can settle for fair in the feel department, I am not one of them. Make anything less than a perfect stroke with this and you might as well be putting with a hand shovel.

I tried some no-name $19.99 putter today at Golf Galaxy that has better feel than this Scotty does. In no way does the performance of this putter justify the pricetag. There are too many better and cheaper alternatives out there to choose from.

If you really must have a Scotty, the Circa 62 would be a slighly better alternative, as it has better feel, and sets up to the ball better. If having a blade style putter isn't a must for you, the Futura Phantom is a much better choice as well...and it's cheaper.

I definitely do not recommend this putter. Scotty needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

I love this putter. I was like all the other guys who thought 300 was too much to spend on a putter. Not anymore. My first Scotty was a Studio Stainless Newport 2.5. It didn't fit my putting stroke with only a half shaft offset. When I went to get a new putter I decided to get fitted, which I would tell anybody to do. Mine is 34 inches long, 2 degrees flat, 340 grams, and 4 degrees of loft. I cant believe diffrence in how the ball rolls from a putter that is fitted and one that isn't. I feel very confident when I'm standing over a putt. Putting is the weekest part of my game and with this putter everything feels comfortable and free. There is one thing I don't like about this putter, Scotty Cameron is very limited in the amount fitting that can be done. I really needed to be 4 degrees flat and they would only bend to 2. Other than that, This is a great putter and would recomend to anyone who likes a non mallet putter, great feel, great lines, great roll.

It use to be that every time I walked into a golf shop I would pick up a Scotty Cameron putter, more shocked that a putter could cost so much as anything else. My wife saw this habit of mine and bought me two Scotties to pick from as a birthday gift. I was apprehensive and hesitant at first to carry a $300 dollar putter in my bag, seemed excessive a pompous. However I knew at first glance that the Newport 2 was my first choice because of its clean lines and aesthetic appeal. Low and behold, it has made a huge difference in my game. The balance is unreal. My distance control has dramatically improved. Sure, I can still put a bad stroke on the ball and of course I miss putts, but its usually damn close. I might three put once every 36 holes, where as before it was about twice a round. The bottom line is that I make more puts than I ever have before. I would say that it has been one of the most instantaneous score improvements I've encountered in my 25 years of playing. A large part of my success might be the physiological impact of the putter itself. I feel as though I'm pulling a magic wand or a shaft of gold from my bag when I walk up to a green. I know any new putter has this effect to some degree, but this baby is simply heart stopping gorgeous, and this is post honeymoon period! This isn’t just a new putter, its art. My favorite club, I now look forward to putting. Believing is 99% of the challenge. People drop three and four bills on drivers all day, but we say ouch to a putter with a price tag of over $150.00? I would have never bought this club for myself, but having carried it now for five months I would encourage anyone who cares about their game and scoring to investigate the Scotty. Why buy two or three putters a year when you can get the best and never have to look at another putter with longing again? All I’m saying is if you keep grabbing the display model, don’t put it down simply because of the price. In my opinion its worth the investment.

I owned a Studio Stainless before and went to a Yes! putter. I still have the Yes!, but after trying the Studio Style, I bought it and never looked back. I like the feel of SC and the balance a lot better than the Yes! You do know when you have struck the middle of the face by the feel, and I think this has made me a better putter by forcing my focus a bit more. This is staying in my bag!

This is by far the best putter I've ever used. It's easy to align, very stable through impact, and the feedback (feel and sound) are phenominal. My distance control imporved markedly with this putter. I had no trouble getting the ball rolling, even on slow offseason greens. This putter rolls the ball better than my Cameron Futura. Edwin Watts had it for $269 + 10% off. Most stores wanted $299, which I would have paid for my new best friend. :)
