As everyone says putting is really all about feel. Before I got the nubbins, I tended to hit all my putts way long. The softness of the nubbins insert is great if you have the same problem. This putter also gives you lots of confidence and consistency on close putts.

It doesn't happen often that a single club will improve your game to the point that you will tell your grandchildren "Hey, I started shooting in the 70s thanks only to this putter that blew my mind". This is the Nubbins. What some previous comments put in the negative aspects, I put in the positive ones. The feathery touch, the noiseless connection (now, all other putters sound noisy, cheap and ridiculous. My putting strokes have been reduced by at least 5 or 6. No more three strokes to sink in a ball: that's amazing. But in all, I guess a putter is like a woman: not a single girl will make unanimity amongst us guys. Let's just say that I found the woman of my dreams.

Best investment I have made in golf. This is a great putter. Last 36 holes I only had one 3 putt. I am sinking putts I used to try and get close to the hole. Easy to line up and ball rolls true every time. I was trying a White Hot along with this one in the Pro Shop but put it down for good the first time the ball skipped off the club to the right. With the nubbins, the ball never skips, shoots or jumps off the face. Always a consistent smooth roll. I am not having trouble judging distance or leaving long putts short,(as other reviews had mentioned) in fact I had more difficulty with my previous Slotline. The thing I like the most is it doesn't matter if you are playing a harder ball or a soft ball, they both feel about the same. I had trouble switching with the hard putter face(soft balls would suffer distance). As far as the complaint of no feedback, well my feedback was watching the balls fall in the hole. I just can't see how the softer sounding contact can be a problem. Highly recommended, however give yourself a little time to get used to the different feel of the club.

Nice putter!!! It has awesome control from 10 - 20 feet. You have to put some muscle into any further than that thought. Overall it is a nice putter to buy

I had been planning to buy a White Hot putter from Odyssey and happened to stumble across a golf shop where the owner was retiring and selling off his merchandise at half price.

In the shop, I practiced with several clubs and couldn't seem to miss with the Nubbins. I thought that the surface could help that "pop" you occasionally get when you hit a putter with a metal face "sweet."

After about 7-8 rounds, I find the Nubbins to have good feel and I consistently make shorter putts. It doesn't have the "pop" that gave me trouble with my old putter. It has good alignment aids. I do have difficulty with long putts, and the problem is with consistent distance.

I'm no expert, but I think the problem is related to the lack of audible feedback. This doesn't mean as much on short putts, but over time, helps to associate a given backswing with a certain sound. For this reason, I'm hanging up the Nubbins. I am trying a Carbite ZH, and it's too early to rate that experiment.

This is a very good putter and the ball does not bounce as much as normal putters. This club is worth getting if you want to elimated 3 putts, however this is not a putter that will sink the ball everytime. Also this club is not too great with long putts. You have to put some muscle into it. (Probably b/c of the solf feel).

Very soft feel. This is a great putter for slick greens with tiers. As is the case with any putter...the skill comes with practice. As for all the golfers who slam the Nubbins BECAUSE of the soft feel compromising longer putts, work on your approach shots.

I try to be objective and understand a putter's performance is more mental than physical, but this putter is AWFUL. The "ping-pong paddle" face provides dull feedback and hits that grow skirts. Now insert-type putters are the way to go, but point yourself into the direction of a Ping Anser Isopur 2i or Odyssey White Hot.
