First of all, putting is all about feel. Most pros have a pretty standard swing with a few variations. Yes, they may have different grip styles and club selections, but they usually have about an 87-90 degree shoulder turn on the back swing, and a 38-45 degree hip turn at impact, and keep their arms straight and in concert, etc. But when it comes to putting few putt as much like their collegues as they swing a 5 iron like them. So, knowing this, I was under the impression that feel ment feel of the putter in my hands. Perhaps that's part of it, but not all of it. It is also feel of the ball as you strike it with the putter. I play with forged irons because I like the feel at address. However, I chose my Ping Anser B60i putter because of the weight of the semi-mallet and how it felt like a pendelum in my hands. For that reason, I had picked up the Cameron putters before and dismissed them because, without hitting a ball, they didn't feel right. When I did hit a ball, the first hit didn't feel like my Ping, so I dismissed it quickly -- especially given the price. Then, after reading these reviews and thinking more about feel, I realized how silly it was to have forged irons because of address feel, but ignore that same type of feel when I put 38 or more times a round. So I bought a Laguna Beach 2.5 on Ebay and decided during the first round -- really the second hole, that I had found my putter. Once I got tuned into the feel at address of the putter, I realized what I could do with the putter itself. I suddenly started judging distance better, and the ball rolled about to where I thought it would -- though not always on line. The ones that were on line went in. I sank a ten foot put for my first birdie on a par 4 hole. Now, here's the bottom line: if you go to your retailer and try a Cameron out on his carpet putting area, ignore the holes. Don't worry about whether your putts are going in, worry about how your address feel with the putter is -- whether you end up liking the Cameron or not. The fake putting surface is a poor substitute for the actual course, and the balls you are using are worn and probably very dissimilar to your own. Pick up a Cameron and get tuned into the feel of the club, and I think you will find your putter. Sorry for the long review, but I think it's important for those of you reluctant to spend $250 on a putter (get it cheaper off ebay) to understand why this review page is littered with 5 stars.

AS ALL OF THE SATISFIED CUSTOMERS STATED BELOW, THIS IS THE PUTTER OF ALL PUTTERS. HAVING PLAYED THREE TYPES OF ANSERS(2,2X,2F) THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A CARBON COPY OF THE ONCE GREAT PING ANSER BUT A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT DUE TO THE FEEL CHANGE. ALL OF THE PINGS ARE TOO HARSH COMPARED TO THIS SLEEK,LESS OFFSET MODEL. WHICH BTW MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!! I'VE WAITED TWO+ YRS TO FIND THIS ONE MODEL(TRIED THE MIL-SPEC, WGT IS FUNNY) BOY WHAT A JOY. @ 34" IT FITS MY LONG ARM BODY TO THE TEE. NOW MY FREE ARM SWING STROKE HAS THE PUTTER IT'S WAITED FOR... IN CONCLUSION, DON'T WALK RUN OUT AND GET ONE NOW!!!!

Without doubt the best putter I have ever used. Im not sure why because the shape is basically an anser but distance control(where most 3 putts occur)is superb. Ive tried lots of different putters and this one is by far the best. Wish I'd tried it years ago!

The pro platinum mil spec 35 is one of the best putters I have ever used, it is very soft and rolls true. It took a few putt to get use to the sofe feel. This putter lines up great and stay on line through out the putt. It looks like I'll be putting for the money with this one.

For all of you that have a 3 to 4 hundred dollar driver and a $50 putter um what are you thinking? You hit a driver 12 times per round and your putter 33-38 times per round ( well until you get a scotty). I just got the scotty the feel is amazing it is impossible to 3 putt with it. It has already shaved at least 5 strokes off my game and only have used it for a couple of rounds. The feel is unbelieveable and so is the roll. Invest in your golf game buy a good putter like a cameron.

I have been in the market for a new putter because I had been losing faith in my trusty Ray Cook mallet. I had been doing a lot of research on this site, as well as ebay to get an idea of what people thought of different putters and how much they tended to go for. After doing some research and narrowing it down to some putters I liked I went to Golfsmith and tested them for myself. I tried the Mizuno TP Mills, STX Sync, like what Rich Beem uses, Odyssey 2 Ball and the new DFX and even though they were way out of my price range the Scotty Camerons. I liked the TP Mills as well as the DFX and STX but oddly didn't care for the 2 Ball. It was easy to align but was just too bulky for me. The Mizuno had a nice feel and I really liked the look of it, (I was using the #8 model). Between the STX and Odyssey DFX, I preferred the performance of the DFX, but the Cameron flat out-performed them all. I just could not afford about $300 for a putter. All of the other ones were under $100. I decided to hold off on purchasing anyting right then and decided look on ebay and try to find a more reasonable price on a Cameron. The one I tried in Golfsmith was a Studio Stainless Newport and I found some on ebay for about $200 which was better but still too much. There were however some Studio and Pro Platinum models for around $150 and I decided to get a Pro Platinum Newport because I liked the look better than the Studio models. A few days after making my decision I was running some errands and decided to stop in a new and used sporting goods store. I walked back to the golf section and what was sitting but a Cameron Pro Platinum Newport 2. I picked it up and looked at the price which was $125 and decided to buy it. The next day I went to the course to use the putting green and realized I had just bought the best putter I have ever used. It has tremendous feel and is surprisingly easy for me to align. It took me a little time to get used the feel of the putter as far as getting my speed down but after that I was dialed in. I actually hit most of the 20-30 foot putts within 3 feet which I rarely did before and even sank a few 30 footers. Needless to say I was very impressed. I am looking forward to having this putter in my bag for a long time and am definitely hooked on Scotty putters.

Customer Service

Haven't had to use it yet but I went to the website and it seems like Scotty really cares about the products he puts out there.

This is a sweet putter. Didn't take long to adjust to. Great feel and just the right combination of headweight and length for me. This putter just lines up right for me and inspires a confident putting stroke. First time out on the course only three putted twice and one of those what purely my fault. I love this putter

I bought this putter because it was the closest match to the "Inspired By David Duval" I didn't want to put to much miles on Dave. I tried out a 35 and a 34. I went home with the 34. In a nutshell, this is the best putter I've ever owned. It is very well balanced. It has a sight line on a Newport head. It has a plumber neck. It fits me. It feels fantastic. The only thing I would change is the grip. I would go with the smooth Dancing Cameron. I have lots of putters, but this one works well with me. I highly recommend getting a putter that fits. I need to buy a spare when I get a few extra bucks.

I saw this putter for 75 dollars on ebay and couldn't pass it up. I used some generic brand putters and had no success. I switched to the taylor made nubbins which i like but still thought there was better out there. Then i bought the scotty cameron. Once u use it u will never figure out how u lived without it in your bag. The feel is great and it seems to go exactly where i want it. I'm just starting to learn the game of golf. My best round of 18 was 102, but the first time i used the cameron, the last round i played i shot a 92. Most of that was from the putter sinking 10 to 15 foot putts that i used to miss. These putters are expensive, but i think they are worth the money.

Customer Service
