Cleveland RTG Wedges

Cleveland RTG Wedges

DESCRIPTION

Cleveland Golf's RTG Wedges are the most played wedges on Tour. Their non-chrome finish creates a more abrasive surface resulting in greater spin and a very soft feel.

The Cleveland RTG wedge is the best wedge I have in my bag. I got the club through Play It Again Sports at a very cheap price. I love my rusty and it’s the envy of my golf buddies when they see me get it within four feet of the cup from 100 yards and below

this is a really great wedge. before the club rusts, youwill not get a lot of spin, but now after 3 weeks, it stops instantly!

Bought these on sale! What a deal, these are great clubs! Plenty of spin off of all three. I use the 56° wedge alot around the greens. I can hit low, spinning chips or higher, running shots. These clubs are heavy and go through sand and rough very easily. Makes it easy to let the clubs do the work. The clubs are very accurate and predictable for line and distance. Very versital. The 53° fits the gap between my sand wedge and pitching wedge very nicely. No more cranking on a sand wedge or backing off a pitching wedge to get close from that in between yardage. Took my three iron out of the bag to make room for the 53°. I'm sure my scoring will improve because of it. My handicap is on it's way to zero with these!

Those cleveland are just great. They're doing what i was expecting from them...good feel, nice confident feeling at address, smooth and stop the ball on the green. Highly recommend it.

Have use the 51, 56 and 60 degree chrome version for some time. Do not quite like them. Bought a 53 degree rtg and fell in loave immed. It can be use as gap wedge or a strong sand wedge.
The 56 degree chrome have too much bounce for me. Thinking of getting the 57 degree rtg. btw, could someone tell me what does the DIADIC marking on the 53 degree wedge means ?

I just have a question for everybody. Do these wedges seem to rip up soft balls when you hit them? For me, I put a nice shear in my new Titleist Pro V1 and another one in a Titleist Tour Prestige. I did this on the first hole! Has this happened to anyone else? If so, email me at Ozc1500@aol.com.

Model Reviewed: 52* 900 RTG

Have played with other wedges, most recently the Cleveland 588 RTG in many lofts. Have thought the RTG is the best wedge available for weight, loft options, bounce, and most importantly spin. The RTG spins the ball much more than the chrome version, and more so when rusted. I currently play 3 Cleveland RTG's and 1 Titleist Vokey 60* lob wedge. I like the lighter feel of the Titleist for a lob wedge. Gives the ability to have more touch around the green.

The new 900 model I recently bought in 52*. I have had the opportunity to play a couple rounds with it and love it even more than the 588 RTG. The first thing I notice is an improved sole. The grind on this sole is much better and allows the club to be layed open easier. One thing tour professionals always do is change the grind on their wedges. The 900 is also forged and offers a more solid feel. You can really feel the forged feel, nothing beats it. Only have used the 52*, not sure how the sole is on the other lofts. But, could imagine they are just as good. Highly recommend the 900.

Love it, good wedge with good spin. Better for players that are proficent with a wedge. Most lickly players hitting over high 90's would do better with a different wedge unless they plan on working on their game a lot. But it is one of the best wedges ive tried. Beats the vokey hands down.

i own both the sand and lob wedges and they work fairly well the have alot of bite and look and feel great after the rust.but i've had some problems like hitting fat or too high sometimes i'm sure those are problems in my swing and not the club.these wedges do make a lot of bite even on hard greens but the don;t go as far as my previous wedges and i've heard other people say the same. all and all a good wedge.
