This wedges are wonderful! I am not sure what all the hype is with the Cleveland wedges I owned a 56 chrome sand wedge and a 60 gun metal lob wedge and in my opinion they don't compare to these. The MP's have a much softer feel and much like Mizunos irons there will be no doubt in you mind when you hit these clubs right on the nuts. I know you get tired of hearing it but it truely is "butter". I know these wedges are definitely improving my short game. Give them a try I don't think you can beat them for the price right now.

My short game is usually my strength. I have been using Cleveland wedges and a really old but comfortable RAM wedge. Decided to replaced my worn out RAM wedge with Mizuno so it matches with my Mizuno iron sets. After using it for 4 months now, I still absolutely love this soft feel, classic look wedge. It is so much better than my Cleveland GW which feels very hard and dull.

Great wedges! I have the 52*, & the 58*. The feel and the control is outstanding! I have no problem reeling it back on the greens, even at the range with range balls I'm able to spin it back, or let it release at will. Great clubs! I played the Callaway forged wedges before switching but these are far better!!

Model Reviewed: Mizuno Tour Style Chrome 60*

I am not the best golfer in the world, nor the richest. I went down to American Golf Discount with an open mind and upgraded my entire equipment. I wanted to co-ordinate and had custom fitted Mizuno MX-15 Irons (Steel) and the Tour Series Chrome 60*. While the irons were the best club i've played, they are truly excellent (solid feel/excellent control/shot shaping)however I could not get on with my wedge. Chipping is the strongest part of my game, but the club gave me awful results (in comparison to others). + Plus points are that the club is very soft feeling of the face due to it being forged and you get a solid consistent feel. - Negative points: At the end of the day I am not a poncey player, reputation means nothing to me. I care about results, and this is the last thing I got from this club.

Model Reviewed: Mizuno MP wedge (Black Ox)

Picked up the 54 and 58. In the store using the simulator it was no challenge to put them within 6 feet of the flag from 60 yards with the 58 degree. On the course, the same applies. Lots of spin, accurate and feels consistent with my Mizuno Mp 30's. The primary reason why I switched from the Cleveland Tour Action 900 gun metals was that they just felt too different from the MP 30's for my liking. (I switched irons this year) These wedges have the same "grain flow forged" feel of the MP 30's. Tight and buttery. The 54 & 58 configuration works best for me as the 58 becomes a very versatile wedge from the greenside bunker, and when I need flop shots. You can put alot of effect on the ball with these wedges. We have one green on my home course which is a fast slanted green that flows down to the water's edge. The high spin off the Black Ox offers me the opportunity to really spin in a draw/flop and have it stop and sit without any effect from the gradient of the slope and the grain of the green which all lead you to the water ontight pin placements. It stops dead. Bottom line, lots of control and spin.

I went to Don Sherwood and asked about different wedges. Without hesitation, the employee directed me towards the Mizuno MP series. These are some of the softest wedges I have ever used. You can really put some good spin on these balls anywhere from 60-100yds out. On the course, I have had to use these wedges from all sorts of situations, and they have been great. At first, I only bought a 56*/8, but after I saw how great these worked, I went back a day later to get the 60*/6. I think the Vokey and Cleveland wedges would great work for lower handicap players, but for those who shoot above high 80's, they should definitely invest in these wedges!

Customer Service

The Don Sherwood retailer in my area offers great service. The employees are courteous, patient and extremely knowledgeable.

This wedge plays really well. There is great feel from the club. The club sets up nicely and inspires confidence in the shot. The heavier weight helps with controlling the strength of the shot. Everytime I have the chance, I use this club. The club also looks nice aesthetically. I want my gear to play well, but I also want them to look good and make me want to play them. The Mizuno fits the bill.

I traded in my MP chrome version and found greater consistency with the Black Ox. The rusted color just made it easier to align and I have been more accurate distance wise as well as shot dispersion. Feels and performs the same as the original MP version, both feel sweet.

Been playing these wedges for ~ 2 months. Good wedges. Excellent price. Match up well with my MX-20's. I like the heaviness of the clubhead. Switched to these from Snake Eyes forged (also very good wedges).
