Nike Nike Forged Wedges

Nike Nike Forged Wedges

DESCRIPTION

As in the Nike Forged Irons,"Precision Forging"forms the head of the wedge, then it is "Squeezed Forged"under extreme pressure to align the grain of the soft 1030 carbon steel. Forging the soft 1030 carbon steel also improves feel and performance while eliminating soft and hot spots on the face.Very important for managing the subtleties of a 42 yard wedge shot.Particular care has been given to the heel grind with the drop-away heel giving golfers total freedom to lay open the face, creating a variety of finesse shots without the interference of unwanted bounce. The heads are finished with a deep, durable Tri-Plex nickel and chrome plating buffed to a high satin-gloss finish.

WOW a great club. i cant say i have tried many others but i love this wedge plus it helps that i picked it up for 40 bucks at dick's sporting goods. my short game has increased phenominally i was shooting 110's and 120's earlier this year, and i gotta admit i havent consistantly shot in 80's but usually higher 80's or lower 90's i just shot a 41 on 9 holes today at the local course (thats even on the harder half) and i can credit much of this to my wedge play. i had just 21 putts on 18 last time and that was because i got it way closer with the nike. not to mention it also lookes totally hot. especially with the chrome finish. i would love to buy more lofts of this club but unfortunately the sale has expired and they are back to $90 and since i'm only a teen i cant really afford that on the value rating, i just think the 90-110 dollars is a little steep, but for the $40 you just cant miss

Model Reviewed: forged 56 and 60

For christmas my girlfriend bought me these clubs.(56 and 60 nike forged) at firs tthey were a novelty which i let sit in my bag and look pretty. then came the day when i had to use then and i man what can i say but they were great. im a consistent ball striker when i keep my swing controlled and i was hittin the ball very solid and accurate. nothin amazing about the club but it gets the job done very well and i like the forged design because i also have the forged irons now(though would not recommend forged nike irons for beginner... you'd be all over the place more so than you already are)very good clubs witht he 56 and 60 out of sand, rough and fairway.... it might also helps a lot if you spend the time to practice the short game and short you will be using on the course before you get out there w/o practice and end up tossin the sucker in a lake! lol excellent buy

I bought this club to replace my King Cobra Oversized wedge. I like how easy it is to get out of bunkers now. With my old wedge I would dread bunker shots and would enter the traps with no confidence. Now, I don't care so much when I land in the traps, because I know that I can get the ball just as close as I would if I were pitching from the short stuff. That said, I don't think it's terribly easy to control from 100+ yards and I find myself opting for a half swung pw in lieu of the sw. The club also scars balls, pretty much evertime it strikes a ball. As was mentioned in another review, ding marks on the club head seem to just appear out of nowhere. All in all I think it's a great club out of the bunkers and from 90 yards in.

Excellent wedge. I love the look, weight and feel of it. It performs well from the sand, fairway, or rough. My only complaint is that the metal is extremely soft. I have many marks on it that I have no idea where they came from. I am usually very careful with my clubs and make sure never to hit any rocks, roots, gophers, etc. No matter though, club still looks beautiful and will be in my bag for a long time to come.

Overall, these are very good wedges. This wedge has a smaller face, is lighter, and has a stiffer shaft than my Vokey wedges. I like the smaller face and the shaft, but had trouble adjusting to the weight of the club, so some lead tape fixed that up. I think I am going to replace my 56 and 60 wedges with a Nike 58. These wedges are a good value now that they are about $90 brand new.

The nike wedges are fantastic. They have a soft and great feel with every shot. I own a set of TA7 Cleveland irons and they are great but their is no comparison to the Nike Wedges.

Model Reviewed: Nike Forged 56* Sand Wedge

I usually having problem getting out the bunker with my cavity back sand wedge. With this wedge, 1 shot out guaranteed. Even with a very high lip to clear, 1 easy swing will do the magic. The feel is good. Not to mention I hit it longer with this wedge. Haven't tried other top models but I am satisfied with this one.

Wow!! What a feel My short ggame has improved so much that I'm taking 5 shots off each round. In the beginning they were just pretty to look at, but when you get the hang of them the're superb. The othger day I had a round in 67. I had 21 putts, and that wasn't because of my putter. I didn't hit som many greens, but kept chipping them either in or a least to gimmies. Excellent!!

Model Reviewed: Nike Unchromed 53 degree Wedge

I have the 53 and the 56 degree unchromed wedges. I've had these wedge for over a year and the handles have very little wear! All my other grips are coming off and the nikes are holding solid. Both wedges have rusted over in the year. At the end of the year, I pulled some out steel wool, buffed them both for 15 minutes and brand new again!! People think I have the chromed set, they are so shiny now. I guess I'll be buffing them once a year to keep that brand new shine. I don't know how the chromed version is, but these clean up real fast and look great!
