Model Reviewed: Tour Select 835 11 pc. set

I thought this set to be adequate for a duffer picking up the game after a 25 year break. But, in the last 3 yrs. since retirement and less than a dozen games and 3 buckets of balls, the 9.5 TiFusion driver has develloped a split at the top of the club head along the club face. After the initial outing, I noticed the paint flaking along the crack line but thought it was only a paint issue. Not so. The crack has developed from a point 1 1/2 in. from the shaft to a point 270 degrees to the rear of the club head. A few more drives and the top plate will be completely off. The rest of the set is holding up, at least for the time being.

Customer Service

Northwestern Golf Enterprises warranteed this product for one year and said they had no problem with this line. According to the company, this line has not been produced for 5 years. So I am S.O.L. for warranty. I guess my next choice in clubs will a name brand and not a Sears sales item. One learns something new every day.

The last products I used actually had wooden "woods".
