I have played many wedges (such as Knight, Alien, Hogan, and Mizuno)and the Snake Eyes 56* sand wedge has dramatically improved my scores. I have been playing for less than a year now and used to shoot in the low 100's. Thanks to the Snake Eyes I now shoot in the high 80's. You get exeptional feel from the wedge and with it's extremely small sole, you can get it lower to the ground than any other club when opening the face to help get under the ball instead of skulling it all over the course. I would reccomend the wedge to any player who wants to shoot lower scores.

These Snake Eyes forged are beautiful. Designed with three different bounce angles in one club. They are good from sand, fringe or rough. Good value too.

Softest feel I've tried. Excellent out of sand, rough, or fairway. I had them made by a clubmaker for $50, the heads are available at Golfsmith for $33.50. Quality equal to Cleveland for 50 bucks less.

This is a great wedge! I have the 52 degree and the thing spins nuts. I played at a local course and stopped a distance ball practicly right where it landed. It is a great wedge that can be bought as a component from Golfsmith (TM). You can assemble it for about 60 dollars. The wedge that I play has a graphite shaft, it's awesome!

These wedges are really nice for the price. If you know a clubmaker, have him build you one. The heads are available from golfsmith.

I have played this club for years. The club is very versitile. From the sand, fairway or the rough it performs. I am able to control the flight and distance better than any club in my bag. I have tried other wedges (especially when I thought Snake Eyes was out of business) but never have experienced the same soft feel.

GolfSmith owns Snake Eyes now. Once this wedge was $200, now it is under $100.

If you Like Cleveland wedges, I dont think you'll have much use for these. Very light swingweight, (about a D2) unless you add a bunch of lead tape. VERY poor on distance control (I believe due to the light weight). Cleveland's wedges are typically D-6 to D-8 on swingweight.
I think I'll stick to Cleveland wedges.
Even though Snake eyes are not very expensive, they are not a good value if they dont perform. Anyone want to buy a 52 degree Snake eyes wedge for cheap?

If I could hit every club in my bag like this I'd be on the tour. Within 40 yards this club gives me confidence that I'll put the ball within 10 feet of the hole (that's saying something for a guy who first broke 100 this year).
That said, when I first purchased it (my first lob wedge) I tried to use it on way too many shots. For me, this club is useless outside of 40 yards. From the longer distances, the harder you swing the shorter the ball goes. That doesn't mean it's a bad club, that's just a warning for all you people like me that might be too dumb to know this.

Simply put, these were very surprising, and very solid performers. So solid and so surprising in fact, they unseated my Cleveland 588's from my primary bag.

I play two sets, one a cavity back set (Top Flite Tour-Ti's) and one a blade set (Ram Tour Grind Nickel Blades). In putting together my second set, I wanted to keep costs down without greatly effecting quality. Well, the quality of the Snake Eyes is unsurpassed and the cost is tremendous. The only negative that I could mention is that the club feels a bit on the light side, but a little well placed lead-tape remedied that beautifully.

The heads are also a bit smaller and I have to admit that I thought this might be a problem with play on the course. Result: not at all. The smaller heads actually lend themselves to more versatility as they cut throught even the thickest rough around the greens. The compact size also results in a very, very solid feel at impact.

Overall, I find this wedge offers the best attributes in a wedge that I've found to date. It's very attractive, very playable, forgiving, and well made. Again my surprise is still unwavered, this wedge actually chased my beloved Cleveland from the bag.

Who wudda thunk it? :-)

Best gap wedge you can buy, puts tons of spin from the square grooves and feels extremely good. Best cosmetics in the game and ability to control the trajectory is godly.Golfsmith now owns them so you can buy the components from them.
