I wanted some wedges that looked like the 588 Clevelands, but these looked better mainly because of the sole grind. I thought it would be perfect. They might swingweight a little on the light side, but they are perfect for me. Great in the bunkers and around the green.

I needed a gap wedge for my bag but I have never been a lover of Cleveland wedges or any other manufacturer of gunmetal wedges.
I liked the look of this wedge from the moment I saw it. Traditional shape and not too small a head.
I hit this wedge between 100 and 110 yards. The beauty of this club though is that if I have that distance left to the pin, this club will be consistent every time. I call this club my money club, because it delivers every time. It is because of this club that my handicap is starting to come down again. I play off 10, but since I got this, my short play has improved immensely and I know I will get down further.
The feel is second to none. The heads are extremely durable, the only wear you will see on the face is the gunmetal finish slowly wearing off with time.
The only thing I dislike about the wedge is the grip. It is just sheete as they say in France. It is far too slippy. A tour velvet grip is a far better alternative.
You can probably get this wedge very cheap on ebay now, buy one, and the first thing you do is change the grip yourself or get a pro to do it for 10.00 euro.
Then you will have a scoring weapon.
