The insert makes the ball spin more than usual, especially balata balls. However, it will wear off after 10 round of normal play.

Purchased this club used, but still plays like new. Have been very impressed with the loft and the ability to pick up the ball. Too much $$, however new!

I purchased these wedges 6 months ago. My selection was based on the premise that they would be as high quality as my firesole irons. They were great for the first 2 months, that is until the face completely wore off. I was not happy. I'm looking to purchase Titleist or Cobra wedges in near future.

The sorriest feel and my nickname is spinmasta because I can produce tremendous amounts of backspin and this club performs badly when trying to be spun back about 12 or 15ft. The face wears off too easily, about an hour in the bunker hitting full lob wedges will crush the face. I have to admitt that it does pretty good from about half wedge distance.

I bought this club about a year and a half ago and I absolutely loved it. It is easy to hit, has terrific feel and spun the ball tremendously. However, as I played with the club and became more accustomed to it the sand paper like face started wearing off to the point it was completely gone in about 6 months, I play about 2-3 times a month. Now that the face is worn off I think the club is just adverage, it still has the great feel and accuracy but it will not spin near as well as before but still has a bit of bite to it. Nothing compared to a freshly soaked Trusty Rusty. I emailed Taylor Made about this and the person at customer service emailed me back saying this was normal and that normal people will replace wedges about once a year or sooner. Now I don't know about you but if I am going to spend a pretty good ammount of money on a wedge I want it to last a while, not a year or less. The person even went on to say ""the pros use them for a round or two and then use another"". I am giving this wedge an adverage score because of the fact the face wears away pretty fast.

First of all, it's a very good-looking club. The performance is even better. It spins good around the greens and can even be hit for distance if need be. The only downside is that it has too much bounce.

This is a great wedge for anyone who wants to play the club from any lie. It gets the ball up in the air fast and lands the ball softly on the green. It also produces great amount of back spin which allows you to attack the pin. Overall I would recommed this club to anyone who wants to improve their wedge game.
