I bought this to replace my CG10 that I have been playing for years. Much better spin but doesn't feel quite as good as the Cleveland. I still greatly prefer the Titleist though. I have been using a Vokey Raw 58° lob/sand wedge for many years and it is my go to wedge around the green and for short sand shots. I intend to replace it with a new black oxide spin milled as well. I've used a lot of wedges over the years and the Vokeys have become my favorites.

The vokey spin milled sm58.08 is the best chipping wedge I've ever played. It could be better from the fairway but the chipping makes up for it. It spins a lot.

I started playing Vokey Spin Mill when they first appeared and update each year. I have 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 degree versions and alternate them depending upon which course I am playing. They are the best wedges I have ever used and I cannot think I would ever use anything else. Perfect would the best word to describe them.

Model Reviewed: Titleist 50 Degree Gap Wedge Black Nickel

This club is very trustworthy. It's perfect for those shots that require a less than full pitching wedge but cause you to swing too hard with your sand wedge. Everyone should have this gap wedge in their bag. Not too much spin when using a two piece ball like Nike Power Distance Soft. Lands soft and stays in place with a small hop or insignificant roll.

Model Reviewed: Titleist Vokey black nickel wedges

After playing Ping wedges for almost 10 years, I needed to replace my 48,52 and 58 degree Ping coppers because I had regrooved them twice from wear and they had lost their spin. I tried CG10's(good feel, not enough spin), CG11's(not enough feel chipping), Callaway PM Grinds(nearly uncontrollable amounts of spin on full shots), the new Ping wedges(very close to the BeCu's, and Nike's TW's(no 48 degree). None were giving me the versatility to hit any wedge shot from anywhere with any club that I was used to with my Pings. The pro (who was likely irritated after two hours) handed me a demo Titleist black nickel 5608 and it was like flipping on a switch. The heavier head practically dropped itself on the back of the ball. They executed every shot flawlessly. I replaced all three of my Pings with Vokey Blacks, and have lowered my HC 2 points. The feel around the green is the most noticeable difference(the Pings would feel "dead" at times). I would not recommend these to anyone who a.) has trouble generating spin, you get out what you put in with these clubs, b.) doesn't like a heavier head, and c.) is looking for a game improvement wedge (although with the higher bounce models, I would imagine you may get some help). This model has been discontinued so they may be tough to find, but if you can get your hands on them, try 'em. Especially around the greens. They'll save you shots.

I have this wedge in 56 degrees as of now. I'm pretty satisfied but I will be replacing it with the Taylormade rac Black (or satin) TP wedges. This Vokey is a little heavier than I would like and I have always sort of felt as if the club face was dead when it was not hit on the sweet spot. Great wedge and I would reccomend it to anyone who likes a heavier wedge.

Recently at the PGA Tour Store, I had a few minutes to kill while waiting on some clubs to be regripped, so I went back to try wedges. I tried this wedge without looking a the brand name and could not believe how much easier it made sand shots, a part of my game that I'd really been struggling with. There is plenty of bounce, a wonderful sole design, and heavier swing weighting. I realized that the club (Black Nickel) I'd tried was no longer available new. The good news, however, was that the club I'd tried was not a "demo" but rather a "used" club. I bought it promptly, only to find that the value was only fully realizable on the course where full shots - even off the dry fairway - are made far easier with this club, as are delicate chip shots around the green. SImply an excellent sand wedge that has made my previous models obsolete. It's worth noting that I have a slightly steep swing and, as advertised by Titleist, this model of 200 series wedge is designed for players like me. My previous wedges were either lower bounce models ( 8 to 10 degrees ) and/or models with narrow soles. The joke is on me because I previously passed over these wedges and opted for Ping Tour (S59 type) and really buttery KZG's. Now, I could not imagine playing without this model and am seriously considering adding the 48-degree pitching wedge as well. Simply put, it's the best club I've ever used. The only problem is, it handles the touch shots, even on tight lies, seem so much easier that my lob wedge has become obsolete.
