Titleist Vokey Design Spin SM58.12 Wedges

Titleist Vokey Design Spin SM58.12 Wedges

DESCRIPTION

A sand and utility wedge with 58° of loft and 12° of bounce. A slightly wider sole and reduced camber make this an excellent sand wedge. The increased bounce is good in soft conditions and for steep swings. The higher loft allows this wedge to be used for lob shots as well.

This is a very good club and you get great control and a lot of spin. Even on little chips around the green you will get the ball to check up very well. There is only one flaw with this club and it is that it will chew up any ball u hit with it. For example I had brand new pro v1 balls and they lasted 1 round and then the covered was ripped off it. But other than that this is a great club and i recommened it to anyone

Model Reviewed: Spin milled 58-12 and 54-10

I have been experimenting with different wedges for the past two seasons and i finally got around to the Vokey Spin Milled and i can safely say that the experiment stops here. Titleist Bob Vokey Spin milled wedges are the BEST.... period. I say this having tried just about every other wedge on the market but none bring it all together like these do.
Wedges all come down to feel and not only do these feel like butter but the ball just pops of the face effortlessly, one hop and stops. These produce amazing spin and the microgrooves do make a difference (they do wear soft balls out though). The new taylor mades have similar grooves on the face now but don't have nearly as solid a feel as these have. The only thing im not 100% on yet is the bounce on the 58. 12 degrees is alot of bounce for a lob wedge but since i am usually flopping from just off the green from the rough i thought this might work well. I am getting mixed results so far but ive only played a few rounds and im still adjusting to them. I do like this configuration alot out of the green side bunkers as in the past i played a 56-14 and would always blast the ball past the hole, but now im putting them closer than ever with the SM 58-12. The 54-10 works great off the fairway but is also very easy to control on very tight lies and even from the rough. All in all i have to say that these wedges were the best $200 ive spent on clubs end of story. If you havent tried these wedges before then i urge you to test them out, I hope you are as pleased with them as i have been.
