Model Reviewed: Tommy Armour ProSpin High Launch Wedges

I decided to add a gap wedge, and I also needed a sand wedge I could use out of the rough or for shots under 75 yards. The SW I had was great from the bunker, but I had no confidence in it anywhere else. I picked up a set of the Tommy Armour Pro Spin from rockbottomgolf.com for less than the average retail of one one wedge. First time out I fell in love. Nearly holed my first bunker shot, and only took two or three hits to get a feel for the GW distances. I get great spin when I want it, or can plop it up there soft and let it release towards the hole. I don't use the lob wedge, as that's a club that needs practice time that I don't have! But I'll keep it for when I'm ready for that next level. I ended up adding an inch to the GW and SW (they were standard, and I needed them longer for full shots). The club builder who added the inch remarked what a great shaft and grip these came with. When I told him what I paid for the set, he couldn't believe it! These wedges are worth the full price, but a great deal makes them hard to pass up. I'd suggest these for any player. The better players may want to opt for the Tour Launch clubs, but mid-to-high handicappers will love the High Launch like I'm using.

Customer Service

Rockbottomgolf.com has always delivered on time and as advertised. They use DHL, which is good for me because they come in the early afternoon. UPS and FedEx tend to come in the evenings.
