I posted a review of these clubs here a year ago, and really liked them then. But, like many people I like to try different clubs, so I tried a number of different wedges, including some Zero Tolerance wedges which I had read good reviews about, and also a number of different Cleveland wedges (Chrome and RTG 588''s). I guess I kept thinking that these relatively inexpensive Wilson''s couldn''t be as good as the much more expensive wedges. These other wedges are good, but the Wilson''s are just as good for my game at a third of the price. The Wilson''s are classic wedge designs that continue to work well. I coach our high school golf team, and after watching one of our Juniors using his SW stick it close continually over and over from in close, I decided to stop looking elsewhere and put the wedge back in my bag too. I have also added the 52* Gap wedge (which I believe is new to their line this year). I have had the 52* bent to 53*, and the 55* bent to 57*. Along with my 49* pitching wedge, I have a good choice of wedge lofts now. By the way, if you care, the bounce on the 52* (Gap)is 10*, the 55* (Sand) is 9*, and the 60* (Lob) is 5* bounce according to Wilson customer service. My scores may not show it because of my inconsistent ball striking, but I am an equipment junky who loves trying different clubs. Try these clubs out, and don''t be a name brand "snob" and avoid these clubs just because the price is lower than the Clevelands or Titleist Vokey''s. They may not be for you, but try them before you write them off. I would agree with an earlier post that the only thing you may want to change on these clubs is the grip, but the newer club I bought has a better grip than my original SW.

Customer Service

Very good. I e-mailed them twice with a question, and they got back to me within one day the first time, and within 1 hour the second time.

I always struggled with my wedge play until I purchased this wedge 3 months ago.I lenghtened it 1 inch and bingo my short game has improved by leaps and bounds. From a 100 yard s in or around the green a very solid club. Great feel and control. I like it so much the lob and PW will be added to my bag. Great stick and a much better buy the the Clevelands or Vosky for the average golfer. The heft of this club fits me perfectly at a swing weight of E-4.

Great club. More defined leading edge helps you take a nice divot and makes it a lot easier to glide through the sand. As far as spin goes. It goes where you hit it and stays there. I don''t know why all these people complain about not enough spin. Spinning the ball back off the green is great if you want to show off, but last time i checked, the point was to shoot the lowest score possible. Land it by the pin and it will stay by the pin. The bigger named clubs are ok but if i was going to pay $125 dollars for a wedge, the least they could do is forge the damn thing. Bob Vokey i''m looking in your direction.

Customer Service

If you need customer service on a $30 wedge, it''s time to find a cheaper sport.

My son has a stainless steel sand wedge like this one, which influenced my decision to buy the Beryllium copper version for myself. This wedge is particularly good for when I find myself in the bunker around the green, but it doesn''t matter if it''s off the fairway or out of the sand or rough, it makes me feel confident I can stick it on the green from 10-25 yards out. The clubhead is very attractive, too.

Purchased a Wilson Hamonized 55 degree Sand Wedge off of E-Bay, where they are dirt cheap. I took it out yesterday on 10/15/01 to practice chips and pitches with it. I like the feel of the club, and it''s very good in deep rough. I alos seem to have good control of chip and pitch shots around the green. So far so good..I plan to use it in play on 10/18/01, afterwards I''ll post another review.

I picked up the 55* sand wedge used for $20. I liked it so much that I went out and got the matching PW (50*) The 55* has been great out of the sand, and also good from the rough. Good spin and feel to the club. During my last round I was 100 yards out, and using the 50* (PW) got nice height, good distance, and landed the shot 15 feet from the hole. The ball stuck and rolled about a foot from the ball mark, which to me indicates good spin. I have found the same thing with the 55*. I am not a scratch golfer, just getting back into golf more seriously again this year. These clubs have a nice feel to them and any mistakes are due to me, not the club. I don't see any reason to look for more expensive clubs when these do everything I could ask of my wedges. I am considering getting the 60* next.

Model Reviewed: Wilson Harmonized 56 and 60 deg

The 56 deg. is very good out of sand traps and pretty consistent from about 100 yards in. It doesn't put a lot of spin on the ball though. The 60 deg. is more difficult to get any distance out of, like more than 40 yards. If you don't hit it just right it's going to go about 15 yards. With some practice, it can be a good lobber though and you can land the ball pretty softly. Also good out of sand. I got these for about 10 bucks each, so the value is good for a decently made club.

A great club for the price. It puts good spin on the ball, and I can hit it from any lie. The only problem I have with it is I can't hit it very far at all, 30 yards max.

This club stinks. I'm not a great player but i know when something is not good. This club does not create any backspin and is way too light, i'll take my Cleveland any day?
