First of all, I studied all the reviews on this page for months before finally buying this club. Nobody I know personally has had any experience with it so I found these reviews very useful, which is why I have written a longer review. I wrote a long review because I like highly specific reviews – if it's too long just read the next 2 sentences and move on... Short Story: I really could not be more excited with the results that I have seen after just 1.5 weeks of work on this thing. I highly recommend it for people with my sort of swing flaws. Some details: I've been working really hard, studying, drills, practice, lessons. My scores still varied wildly from low 80's on a very rare good day to high 90's on most days. Mis-hit balls (topped or chunked) are the main problem – literally I can go from hitting beautifully struck 7-irons to worm-burners. Few weeks ago I tried an experiment - I shot a 101 on an easy course, but I counted up and rehit the mis-hit balls – 20 of them – so I shot an 81 without mis-hits. Basically I have not had a problem making a good swing (and feeling that it was good) – but I've always had a problem figuring out what made a swing good and repeating it. After the experiment described above, I hoped that maybe this would be what I needed to make a good swing repeatable. After working with this club for 1.5 weeks I played again and did not mis-hit a single iron and only shanked one driver. For me it immediately showed me that when I tightened up I stopped rotating my shoulders/hips, I'd get steep and sway forward = topped ball. I could feel something was wrong – but couldn't identify the sequence, and couldn't break the habit once it set in because I'd get tighter and tighter. I don't know if everyone can be helped by this club – but it seemed tailor made for my sort of flaws. Spending $100 on this instead of lessons is a tough decision, but it definitely worked out for me – I really needed the instant feedback.

Model Reviewed: Medicus Driver

This is simply the best swing trainer on the market. I have found that it definitely helps develop a smooth swing that is on plane and encourages a release through the ball. As you become more confident with the tool, you will also develop more confidence with your regular driver. At first I could hardly hit the ball 50 yards without the Medicus breaking. It was very difficult even though I have played for many years. Now I can hit the ball 150 yards, dead straight everytime. After hitting a few balls with the Medicus, I pick up my regular driver and try to hit it with the same tempo and feel. The feeling carries over, and the ball goes long and straight. When I start hitting my regular driver badly, I pick up the Medicus Driver and within 10 balls my drives are back where they should be. This reaffirms the Medicus as a great tool.

What a wonderful product! After a couple of days swinging the Medicus Driver, I went to the driving range using my Taylor Made driver to test out my new swing. At first I was hitting low grounders that went fairly straight, rather than my usual grounders that sliced. Then I couldn't find the next few shots. I thought I was shanking them because I couldn't see it on the ground. I continued to hit, and I still coundn't find where my balls were going. Eventually, I looked up and noticed that the balls were going long, high, and straight. What a wonderful feeling. Before the Medicus 2000, I was never able to get a lot of distance, accuracy, and height on my drives. With it, my drives have been transformed. I am a believer in the product.

Customer Service

I ordered the Medicus Driver and the Medicus 5 iron. While the shipping for the Medicus Driver was free, I was charged for the shipping for the Medicus 5 iron despite the misleading Medicus website stating that you do not need to have a separate shipment.

This club changed my game. I got renewed enjoyment after hitting farther and straighter than ever before. It is a great product, if you are getting it for the right reasons. It helps with your backswing ad your tempo. It will also help if you are coming hard over the top. I highly recommend trying this product to anyone with the previously stated problems. The single hinge version also works well, but it does not do a good job spotting an over the top swing. There is not a better swing trainer on the market.

After hearing the stories of customer service I ordered my through tgw.com. Ordered it on a Thursday morning and it came the following Monday. I would suggest ordering it from them. As for the club I think it is great. I was having trouble with all my iron shots going the same distance once I started swinging the Medicus it showed on my take away I was all hands after swinging it for about 20 minutes I had it corrected and I regain my distance with the irons using correct weight transfer. The 5 iron also added distance to my driver. The next day I adjusted the set screw and it broke a little more easily picking up on the more little things in the golf swing. I would suggest leaving it on the standard setting and then loosening up the club. The only real negatives about this club is that I have found it is harder to hit golf balls than I thought. We use wiffle balls so we can visualize a golf ball in front of us. My brother is having a bit tougher time adapting to it. The reason being we swung it without golf balls in front of us and started to top the ball after he hit his clubs. The wiffle balls helped fix this problem. I shoot in the low 80's and dip into the 70's every now and then and this club has helped me alot. I would diffently suggest trying the club.

Beware if you purchase this product from Medicus.com. On the second page, make sure you unhighlight the check mark for rush shipping or you will be charged for rush shipping even though shipping was supposed to be free. When you call Medicus, they stand by their gimmick and will not remove the rush shipping fees. I cannot rate the product itself because they have made me so mad about the shipping I haven't even opened up the box since it arrived. I do rate Medicus customer service as a zero. Let the buyer beware.

This is the greatest tool I have ever seen. It gives you immediate feedback. I had gone from a 7 to a 18 over the last two years. I have fought the shanks for the last year. They are brutal, especially mentally. After swinging the Medicus for 10 minutes I identified I was laid off at the top. I then grabbed my Ping S59 PW and flushed 10 140 yd shots in a row. I highly recommend this tool. It gives you immediate feedback. You feel the feedback instead of someone trying to communicate it to you. I wish I had bought it years ago. BUY IT NOW......

I like it. So far, it is helping my backswing, making it slower, deeper, and promoting a good turn. It breaks down at the end of follow thru. I think that has to do with not keeping right arm straight long enough through ball. I am working on it, ala the Hogan straignt right arm to the finish. I will provide more input as I learn more.

After reviewing the video that comes with the trainer, it only took a few minutes to get the proper rhythm. This product made an immediate positive impact on my swing. Idefinitely slowed me down and got me to focus on my follow through & turn. I found it works best for me to hit 5-10 balls with the Medicus, then 5-10 with a particular club. I own inexpensive knock-off clubs, and they are performing much better now. Before you invest a bunch in new clubs I would recommend the Medicaus 2000 trainer. If you do not have the correct swing, new clubs are not going to help!

Customer Service

I ordered the trainer and had it in 1 week. The person I dealt with on the phone was polite.

I was ready and willing to buy the driver but wanted some more info. I submitted my info on the link found on Medicus' web site. 2 days later I received a call from a sales rep at 10 PM. He was very PUSHY and RUDE. I told him that was was calling pretty late but he never apologized. He asked me bluntly if I was going to purchase the club during this call. He hung up on me because I didn't give him a definite YES. He was helpful in one respect - He convinced me that I will NOT buy any Medicus product.

Customer Service

Customer service was polite but not very helpful in logging my complaint.
