Caddyrack bags seem to no longer be available. The original inventors stared a new company Kahma Golf and have a full range of bags and retrofit units for sale. www.kahmagolf.com

Model Reviewed: The Bag

I purchased the black/tan caddyrack bag 3 seasons ago. Functionally, what a great bag! However I'm sorry they chose to manufacture the bag out of vinyl. I tried repeatedly this season to purchase their new bag in black but have found no response. I've used the Caddyrack system on conventional bags and as golf bags changed I was happy to find that Caddyrack manufactured a bag with the integated rack. Unfortunately, the people behind this company have screwed up making this product available. As of this post, their web site dosen't seem to exist anymore and it's a shame because I think the Caddyrack bag was a great product.

Customer Service

The roller's around the collar that hold the woods in place eventually cracked and broke. The replacement parts, quoted via email, were of an absurb cost ($5.00US per roller ($5x10) plus $50.00US for shipping.

Model Reviewed: Caddyrack Original Bag

The bag had me intrigued. I had tried several iron separators but they continually broke until I finally got cavity backed irons and they wouldn't fit correctly. I ordered the $125.00 special from Caddyrack and then did not hear anything back. Later after several emails and trying to order a second time Mr. Drinkwater called me and told me that he sold the company and the buyers were not taking care of the clients and he was in the process of buying it back and wanted to honor all the existing orders. The problem was that he could not honor the $125.00 figure and would have to charge $175 plus shipping. So I declined. I'm not wealthy and play golf on a budget but I could not pay his new price even thought the ad is still on the web he would not offer it.

Model Reviewed: "The Bag"

I am very disappointed w/ Caddyrack. The original bag that I bought was top quality. Although I paid for a top quality bag, their latest "The Bag" is anything but top quality. At $600, you'd expect top quality service and material - you'll be disappointed if you expect the same quality as their original bag. It's a shame that Mr Drinkwater has decided to cash in on the popularity of the original Caddyrack bag, but this is indeed the case.

Customer Service

Terrible.

I purchased the Caddyrack bag and I love it. It is by far the best bag I have ever used. The person above me on his reply must work for kahmagolf or is getting some kind of kick back. Before my purchase of the caddyrack bag I did purchase a caddyrack organizer that fit on top of my Cobra bag. That worked well. The small rubber clips that hold my graphite woods, have presented no problem. It might rub the paint on the shaft alittle but it does not in no way affect it's play. it has plenty of extra pockets. This it a well designed bag that will last you for many years to come. I really like the velco straps to that keep the bag from listing to the side if I decide to use my pull cart.

Customer Service

Never had a problem. I called and talked to Mr. Drinkwater about the amount of time to expect my bag, because I was getting my name embroidered on the bag. And he was very nice to talk with. He answered my question and I the best bag now.

Model Reviewed: Caddyrack Golf Bag

This golf bag is basically designed around superseded technology. It effectively organizes the clubs but what the manufacturer does not disclose is the potential risk it imposes on graphite shafted irons. The problem occurs when the bag is used regularly in a vertical position such as on a motorized golf cart. The design of the Caddyrack requires contact of the irons' shafts on the bag top for them to remain in the device. This contact is always on the same spot on the shafts and can cause serious long term damage. The inherent necessity of shaft contact also compromises function. The irons must be removed vertically to prevent the grips and shafts jamming between the shafts and the front of the bag. The heads of the irons are not restricted from movement so there can also be some rattling and abrasion with the hard plastic Caddyrack. The optional shaft clips for the woods are a definite risk to graphite shafts despite the personal opinion of John Drinkwater of Caddyrack Inc. in his own disclaimer. If these clips are not used standard tadpole wood covers do not fit into the small individualized wood compartments. The opinions expressed in this review are direct from the actual inventor of the original Caddyrack. The smart modern alternative to this product can be found at http://www.kahmagolf.com/ .

The only genuine graphite-friendly golf bag available is the Kahma Minder with integrated "Kahma Soft Grip" technology. Ironically this modern technology is from the same inventors of the old Caddyrack. This magic new technology has overcome all the Caddyrack shortcomings.
