I have to say that Ogio Grom look, feel and design like Bently but with reliablity of a GM. If you are a potential buyer, please be aware, and if you're a current owner, I advice u to take closer look at joint where the connection is made between the legs and metal rods(running down along the belly side of the bag) that are part of the retracting and deploying mechanism. When u rest your bag in the trunk or any other surface(with legs retracted), these joint are the pressure points and main contacts to the surface, and the plastic cover that surround this joint which protects the washer in between are easily cracked, and thus hinder the retracting mechanism. I am glad that i caught it early and return for refund within allowable days. You'll have better understanding of how this potential problem could have happened to a typical stand bag just by taking a closer look at Callaway's newest design on FT stand bag, and how they address this issue by implementing a huge rubber piece protecting the joint.

i have used this bag for about a year and a half , and i would never buy a bag from this company again. about a year after i bought it the seam on one of the side pockets started to become unstitched. i first brought it to the retailer i got it from(dick`s sporting goods) and they wanted nothing to do with it. they referred me to ogio, who said they could not do anything because it was over a year old. this is one of the most expensive bags on the market and ogio thinks it`s only good for a year of use. since then 2 zippers have broke on it. i will never waste my money on an ogio product again.

After comparing the Grom, Taylor Made Tour, Nike Extreme, I bought the Grom II. Love the Woode Club System, especially while on the range. Its like having the clubs handed to you. I primarily pull cart, and don't carry, and wanted a Cart size bag, with a stand for the driving range. If thats sounds like you, this is the bag

I purchased the Ogio Grom II at the beginning of the year based on reviews and word of mouth. While it is a very nice bag, there are also some problems that I have had with my bag that you may or may not eventually have with yours.

PROS:

-TORQ strap. (Esepecially if you ride)
-Ball silo outside of the bag.
-Tee holder outside of the bag.
-Zipperless Ball pocket.
-Insulated water bottle holder.
-Scorecard holder with pencil holder.
-Individual putter well.
-Woode management system is functional.
-Plenty of storage room/Pockets.
-Cell phone holder. (difficult to get to)

CONS:

-Straps are comfortable but clumsy at
times when time to walk.
-Very difficult to sit this bag on a pull
cart, as the stand mechanism at the base
is so odd, that it slides right off the
pull cart.
-To get the legs to be stable during a
round, you must "stuff" them in the
elastic black band than can be a pain.
-To adjust the tension of the legs, their
is a black "H" mechanism that is very
difficult to adjust.
-Bag is heavier than others in this
category.
-The Woode management system is nice but
the irons also clutter up when walking.
-Legs have trouble extending and folding
back up when at rest.

There are plenty of very nice things about this bag and there are some that are not so great when you have to put them to use.
If I were to purchase another bag, I would probably pass on this one and opt for a Sun Mountain, Hoofer, or Aerolite bag. Those bags might not have all of the bells and whistles, but are very functional to say the very least.

Who knows... maybe I just got a bad one?

Customer Service

I had to call them regarding the legs, and they are located in Utah. I was not able to talk to a person at first, and had to leave a message with a CS person on there answering machine. I was however called back and was told about the black "H" clip which is located on the legs to loosen or tighten the tension when having problems with the legs. It would have been nice to talk to someone the day that I called instead of playing phone tag, with me having to call her at a specific time during the day.

Ogio CS is functional at best, but not very convenient by a long shot.

the direction the top little zipper club cover thing faces is not awesome.. i would have liked it to zip up and down from the other side but.. its not a big deal..

Absolutely love the TORQ strap. The best feature on this bag...it must be patented because all stand bag manufacturers would have this feature. A couple of minor dislikes. When I am walking short distances using only one strap, the inner leg catches my pant leg. There is no towel strap or ring. I currently clip my towel on the o ring where the strap clips on to. The woode system is much better than the full length dividers in my old Nike Extreme Sport bag. But when you have wedges, short irons, mid/long irons (with the wedges towards the legs, so when the bag is standing the long irons hang over the short irons), it makes it slightly difficult when you have the bag on a cart, because the longer irons are up front making you dig to get to your wedges and short irons. Although this bag has proven to be durable and asthetically pleasing enough for me not to buy another bag (I've gone through 3 in the last 6 months)

I have the older version of the grom, it doesn't have the tork strap or the zipperless ball pocket, despite that fact I still really like the bag that i have(it definetely is an ogio grom). It isn't as light as my friends ping hoofer, but it is much more useful in terms of the pockets and the really cool woode system. I really like the woode system because it keeps my clubs all neatly stored in an easily accessibe way, it also makes it really easy to find the club i am looking for because in my old cart bag everything was thrown in higgle-d-piggle-d. All in all this is a really good bag and the new version must be even better with all its new features. I would recommend this and probably the new one as well to anyone looking to replace their existing carry bag or to invest in a carry bag instead of their cart bag. It really is agood product with just one draw back, the stand is a little wobbly on severe sidehill lies but this is probably true of all carry bags.(I would have given it full marks if it was slightly lighter)

Simply stated, a very well designed product. Gee, I wish I didn't have to mess with this zipper all the time just to grab another ball. Voila--the ZBP and the silo. Gee, I wonder where my 6 iron is. Voila--the Woode system. Gee, I wish my bag didn't flop around on the back of the cart. Voila--the TORQ strap. From top to bottom, it's packed with useful features. Worth every penny.

I got this bag a little while ago, and I love it. It is a trumendous walking bag, and it has everything you need. Pros: -Score Card holder at easy access -Great straps -Zipperless ball pocket -Water bottle holder -Stand works great -Ball silo -Water proof Valuables pocket -Separate cell phone holder -Woode System is very nice -The strap for the cart works excelently Cons: -The irons all shift to one side as you walk -There are so many pockets, you can easily make it too heavy to walk with I didn't think I would like the ZBP, but it is one of the things I like the best about it because it is VERY easy to get in and out of and it is waterproof. I also wasn't a fan of the Woode system until I got it, and not I like it because the woods don't cover the Irons.

Outstanding for both walking and cart usage. I walk about 35% and ride 65% and this is an excellent bag for both. The following features are great: 1) A special rubber strap on the back of the bag (called a Torq) that keeps your bag from twisting around in the golf cart. Your bag does not move an inch. 2) The Woode club organization system has a one hole each for four woods and your putter. Then three large slotted areas for your irons. Everything in place and always perfectly visible. No irons hiding under clubcovers. 3) A large ball pocket that does not require you to unzip it to get inside. It is spring loaded and you grab a handle to access your balls. But it stays firmly shut to keep out the rain. 4) Generous weathergear pockets that will hold a rainsuit and much more. 5) An outside pocket for scorecard and separate for pencil. 6) Pockets for cell phone, valuables, keys, wallet, etc. Pockets galore. I paid $140 for this gem and love it.
