Ping Hoofer 2 Bags

Ping Hoofer 2 Bags

DESCRIPTION

From Ping: "Redesigned for 2001, the Hoofer2 is the ultimate in carry bags. Its name comes from the "hoof" shaped design of the bag bottom -- a design that gives this bag characteristics unlike any other. The Hoofer makes club removal and insertion easier with a FULL body-length divider and by providing more separation for grips at the bottom of the bag. The bag has a shape which rests comfortably against the golfer's body while being carried. At the top of the bag, an elongated four-way club divider with soft cover provides greater club separation, making locating, removing and replacing clubs easier. The soft cover is also removable for washing since dust and dirt can scratch graphite shafts." Additional new features for the Hoofer2 include, a "Trunk handle" on the base of the bag, to aid in removing your clubs from the trunk of your car, and a water bottle holder.

I work as a caddy at a golf course in NE Ohio. I carry many different types of bags, and any of the Ping series are by far the nicest to carry. The stands rarely get stuck like some of the Titleist or Callaway, have minimal problems getting the clubs out of the bags (assuming they're carrying the legal number of 14 clubs!). The unique double shoulder strap system works out better than those who have the built in bookbag style two shoulder design, especially when carrying doubles. If you play at a course with a caddy and are looking for a new bag, do him a favor and get a Ping.
I own one my self, pockets for everything you could need and more. Best carry bad out there.

I don't really like this bag for one reason--Not enough room for your clubs. I carry 13 clubs and they are constantly getting hung up going in and out of the bag--very annoying.

I do like the pockets and such, but the amount of weight that needs to force the legs open is too great. I almost need to slam the bag down to get the legs to come out all the way.

I got this bag on Ebay for $40 and am thinking about putting it right back on there.

If you carry 10 clubs or less then you will probably be happy, but more than that and you'll be frustrated.

This is a great bag. I upgraded to this from a cheep walmart bag. The bag i got from walmart the legs bent and it was a pain. This hoofer is built a ton better it wont bend. There is so many pockets ull never run out of room. Its kinda pricey but i found it for 100 so i had to get it. The only thing i didnt like is the wholes for the clubs are pretty small but if u put 3 per whole its not bad at all. All around a great bag. Fits in the cart well but its even better for walking.

This bag is great. I had always admired the Hoofer but didn't want to pay the hefty price. When I found this one on sale I couldn't pass it up. This bag has every kind of pocket you could need. The shoulder straps are the most comfortable I have ever had. The weight is also pretty low so it's not too hard on the back. The PING craftsmanship truly stands out again.

After having a Hoofer the 2 is a great improvement. Ping golf equipment has always been top notch. The pockets are well thought out and just the right size. Get this bag and you will not be sorry!

Excellent bag, works well on the cart and better while walking. It has a comfy feel about it, and I feel the pocket design of the 2 is better than the Hoofer 3 or J bag. I think Ping went backwards on the 3 (what were they thinking?). Don't buy this bag in the store, shop Ebay and you'll score cheap too. The price on 2's is dropping like flies now that the (inferior) 3 is out.

Customer Service

Haven't dealt with them yet, so no opinion here.

Upgraded my bag from the original Hoofer to the new Hoofer 2. Must say the upgrade was well worth it. Just for the simple fact that they have included club deviders makes it worth it. The pocket design is much better then the original. And the water bottle pocket is a nice feature.
