I purchased this bag in 2006 after using a hand-me-down original Jones Golf bag (it was vinyl) for 14 years.

I always walk courses.

The quality of construction on this bag is very nice. Seams are stiched wel. Metal reinforcements are in areas that get stressed. It is well made.

The Flight bag is very light but still holds its form and shape very well. The two shoulder straps are easy to adjust and comfortable for 18 holes. They are well padded. The portion of the bag that rests against the small of your back has a padded cloth area build into the bag. It is comfortable and I do not feel any clubs, etc. through it.

I have used this bag in high temperatures with high humidity and the straps, etc. did not cause chaffing, irritation.

The bag has 14 individual slots for clubs and a velcro strap on the side for an umbrella. The collars of each club slot are padded. The slots are lined and divided with nylon and Sun Mountain says they are full length dividers, but the divders do not appear to be attached to anything at the bottom. This has not caused a problem with removing or replacing the clubs.

The leg stand mechanism works well. The rubber feet on the bottom of the legs are too soft and wear out quickly. Mine wore out after a couple weeks (about 6-8 rounds). The extent of using them was standing the bag up at the car in the parking lot, on the course, at the grass driving range, at home on a hard floor.

I replaced the rubber feet with 5/8" diameter rubber feet found at a local national chain hardware store. 5/8" diameter rubber feet are just a bit too big for the legs, so I wrapped the ends of the legs with one wrap of a 3M rubberized electrical tape (this is a thin strip of rubber with adhesive on one side and not your standard thin vinyl electrical tape). This tape provided the right amount of filler for the feet to stay on and they have worked much better than the OEM feet.

I did call customer service about the feet. They did ship replacements out for free, but the replacement feet I purchased hold up much better.

There are a total of six pockets. One is a small lined one for wallets, keys, etc. Then there is a large full bag length pocket for jackets, club head covers, etc. There is a small accessory pocket on the other side and a water bottle pouch. There are three pockets down the front of the bag for tees, balls, etc.

While I like the bag very much and don't see any reason to trade it out, I feel the price is a little much given the materials used.

Customer Service

Customer service was quick and responsive in sending out replacement rubber feet.
