Bridgestone E5 Balls

DESCRIPTION

The Bridgestone Logo e5 Golf Ball has a new dual dimple design for increased distance. The e5 is engineered for control and distance. The new e5 delivers consistency on the green because it is the only 2-piece urethane cover ball on the market, which provides the power of a large core with the control of Tour-proven urethane. New Dual Dimple Technology also provides improved distance performance and the inside dimple works to increase thrust power at launch while t

Great Ball, It's long off the tee and soft around the greens. Very comprable to
the Pro V's for 20 bucks less a dozen.

I like a product which delivers what it promises. In my advancing years (my current age is 54) and with some disc problems in my lower back, my ability to hit high, carrying drives has diminished. I went to a 11.5* driver with an A flex shaft and it has helped, but I have felt that a higher trajectory ball could further increase my average drive from the 200-210 yard range.

Well, the E5 did just that. My trajectory is noticeably higher and last Sunday I hit a 253 yard drive, probably my longest drive in over 10+ years. On average now, I'd say I'm hitting 210-230 yards which has made a huge difference in my game. Sometimes, I can hit or come close to hitting the green on a 400 yard or so par 4.

The E5 seems to be durable as well. A few weeks ago, I pulled a drive into a tree which ricocheted the ball onto large rocks surrounding a pond. When I found the ball, it was virtually unmarked. Go figure.

I read the reviews of this ball on this site so I tried it. This ball is very long off the driver, and irons but it also has a soft feel off the putter face. The selling point however is the spin. I stoped a ball in it's divot on the green from 215 yrds away. and repeatedly spun balls backwards with short irons as well as long irons. Mayby it matches my swing speed (high90's to low 100's)perfectly but, simply put this is the best all around ball (distance+spin+control+feel) I have ever played. The fact that when you lose one it only cost $2 instead of $4 is just a very nice bonus.

Didn't like it. Trajectory too low for me. I found nothing special in any category-distance/stopping power/feel.

The e5 is a great ball, definitely superior to the NXT or NXT Tour.

Excellent distance and a surpising amount of bite on approach shots. Plays well around the green and feels nice off the putter.

Excellent durability and price.

Just a great all-around ball.

Just tried this ball over my last 4 rounds, due to solid reviews. This is one of the longer I've played and this is EASILY the most durable ball that has some sort of spin to it. I've play the same two sleeves of balls aver the last 4 rounds and they still look GREAT! For the price, easily the best ball I've ever used.

I let a kid in the golfshop talk me into trying the Bridgestone E5's. Yesterday I played a course in pretty lousy condition and I decided to give them a shot.

My distance with the E5 was better than expected (I was getting some roll from burnt fairways but my irons into the greens were better than they have been lately)

The E5 held up great throughout the round - the dots I had drawn with a Sharpie marker showed some wear, but the ball looked great.

I would have played all 18 with the same ball but I hit a 7 iron into a par 3 (hole 15) and it checked up and rolled backwards into the water.

I'll likely be playing these balls for the rest of the year. - The fact that they're no more than $25/dozen, is just a bonus.

Got a dozen for $22 at The Golf Emporium.
Shared it with friends and after a round, we all concluded this ball is long and nice to putt. I will be buying more for the reast of the season.

My game has improved a lot over the past two years and I've come to believe what a difference a quality ball can make. I swing in the mid 90s and have learned that having a bit extra spin keeps the ball floating longer. I've been playing the Callaway HX Tour 56 and have grown tired of paying the LOOOOONG dollar ($44 per doz). I asked a guy at the store at a local shop if there were any midlevel balls that played similar to the Callaway and he recomended the Bridgestone e5. To describe this ball in a single word.... "WOW". They are soft feeling, they fly nicely, they stick on greens and they hold up very very well. I played 16 holes with one ball Friday and actually wore off the line I had drawn on the ball with a sharpie and the ball was still in pretty decent shape. The Callaway balls I've been playing do not hold up nearly as well and cost twice as much. I recomend buying in bulks of 3-6 dozen on ebay where you can often save another $5-$10 per dozen.
