Reading putter reviews here is like listening to music critics or arguing religion - everyone believes their opinion is the right one. To top it off, people that write postive reviews usually state something silly like "this putter shaved 5 strokes" or if negative then turf installation Vacaville

I've used many different balls that bill themselves as distance balls with a good soft feel around the green. I find that the feel of the CB1 red off the tee is hard enough to give instant feedback but soft enough for control. On the green it sticks well for a distance ball. As of right now, its the only ball I play as I find it to be the best balance of distance and feel.

Ball flies true and straight. Can be worked both ways and sticks on the green pretty well. Distance is above average. Great ball for the price!

I've never played brand name balls, I usually play Top Flights because they aren't very expensive. I've picked up a box of CB1's and decided to give a good ball a try and see if they really are game improvers. My answer. A resounding YES. These balls are really longer off the tee and spin more than your average ball. I played my first round with this ball this afternoon and I hit a 297 yrd drive and 3 others over 260. I usually hit my driver between 240-260. I added 10 to 15 yards in length with this ball for sure. This ball also produced a good amount of spin with wedges and other irons. I backed a few balls up with my lob wedge which I never usually do. The CB1 Red's also putt and chip nicely. Very soft and quiet off my putter. This took some getting used to at first, but this ball rolls very nicely on the greens and spins alot on short chips. As for durability, I was impressed. I played a whole round with one ball and yes I did have two small scuffs but no major cuts or nicks that could affect play. Overall, I doubt I'll play another ball anytime soon. These Red's are great balls, I can see them taking at least 2-3 strokes off my game possibly. No wonder high end balls cost more money, at $20 what can you lose?

this ball rocks!! it is the best 2 pc ball on the market, followed closely by precepts laddie... it is long, firmer than the laddie, but still has a soft feel. it's stregth is how good this ball is around the greens. very good check-up for a 2 pc ball. putts super also!! at 19.99 this ball is a good deal.

I really like this ball. I've always been one for the distance balls even though i really don't need it. used to use top flite xl 2000 extra distance and wilson smartcore. This ball is far superior to both. My two longest drives are with this ball, and I can land greens with my five wood and this ball will stick it within 10 ft. Around the greens it plays very well, but again, if you like soft balls forget about this. To me, it's got the right combination.

Looove this ball. I had my two longest drives evr on my home course with this ball last summer. I''ve always used distance balls, like the top flite xl 2000 extra long so I''m used to the hard feel. I used to really like the Wilson smartcore''s but they are hard to find. This ball has about a 65/35 ratio of distance to feel compared to anything I''ve used. For me this ball is perfect. I don''t like hitting a ball that feels like I''m hitting an orange. This ball sticks greens too so don''t let anyone say they don''t. I stopped this ball on the green with a three iron. My ball mark was about three inches away. If you are used to very soft golf balls these may not be for you, but if you like a good combination with a little more distance than feel these are great.

This is tied for the longest ball I''ve hit. It is outstanding in the wind and is softer and more playable than comparably long Pinnacle Titanium.
