This is the best ball I have ever played with, I have a few left in my bag and that's it. This ball is much easier to control than the balls on the market now. Wish I could find one that is comparable to the callaway Blue CTU. Why did they stop producing this ball??

Great ball. Got a dozen from old stock being run out. As good a ball as I have ever used. Not the longest, but very close. Great feel off the club, super ball flight, especially in wind. Durable as any premium ball around. Allround best ball I've used (precept utri tour equal best) and got them for a great price. A shame they don't make these anymore, in my opinion better than the new HX tour, which is still a good ball but not as good as ctu blue.

I have tried many different balls from Titleist, Strata to Nike. It wasn't until I tried a Callaway Rule 35 Blue that I felt a major change in the way I struck the ball ( The Rule 35 is an excellent ball). I progressed onto the CTU 30 which gave even better results. The spin that can be achieved confidently to stop on greens while still gaining good distance off the tee is tremendous. I only play with CTU 30 blue now and feel like I have eliminated one worry in my quest to be a better golfer. It is that good!

I saw this ball when i went to get my new driver(TM 360) and decided to try it since a couple of guys the day before were using it in a scramble that a played with. The 1st round I used my new driver and this ball I shot a 37 it was my best round of the year so far. I have shot a 40 6 times but have not broken 40 until I got that 37 and it even came on league night. This ball worked great, it had plenty of distance, excellent spin and is really soft. When it hit the greens it just stuck like a dart even though I do hit my irons pretty high.I highly recommend this ball to anyone.

It seems like everytime I go out and play a round, one aspect of my game (tee shots, approach shots, chips/pitches or putting) is not functioning which in turn prevents me from shooting lower scores. Unfortunately, I never know which one of these types of shots is going to be the one I struggle with for the round. Therefore, I was looking for a good all-around ball. Since virtually all ball manufacturers claim to be "long off the tee" and "will stop short on the green", I've had to try a variety of ball types. The "rocks" like the Pro V1 and Slazenger 408s gave me great distance and I was able to keep it in the fairway because of the low spin, but they were absolute disasters for me to hit if my iron approaches or wedge game wasn't working that day. This led to wildly uneven scoring as my pars and birdies would be offset by double and triple bogeys. The "soft" balls like the NXT Distance and Precept MC Lady enabled me to stop shots on a dime, but off the tee, even on my best days I would hit maybe 3 or 4 fairways. It seemed like I always put just enough hook or slice on the ball to get it into the rough, i.e. on at least another 3 or 4 holes, my balls would be within one club length of making the fairway. Since the majority of my approaches would be from the rough, the round would wind up being somewhat close to bogey golf as I would constantly be pitching/chipping for birdie and putting to try and save par or two-putting to save bogey. I found a Callaway CTU Blue ball one day in the rough and played it for a few holes and it seemed to be a decent ball. So I decided to try a box and recorded where my shots were going as I was playing these balls. The CTUs did not go as far as the Pro V1 or the Slazenger 408 but it was pretty close. The CTUs appeared to be even better at stopping shots on the green than the soft balls; I even was able to spin the ball back a couple of feet which I have never been able to do before. Best of all, this spinning power onto the green did not seem to leak into my tee shots; last round I hit 10 out of 14 fairways, this included a final six hole stretch where I hit every fairway and made the green in regulation; again, I have never had a round with such a stretch of holes or such a high percentage of fairways hit. If it hadn't been for some defective iron play on the front nine (all me, nothing to do with the ball), I might'

I was looking for a good "compromise" ball, one with enough spin on the greens to stop but not too much to exaggerate hooks and slices. I tried the Strata Tour Ultimate 2. It has amazing stopping power, but I had trouble keeping it in the fairway and it was shorter than my Precept Extra Distance. I then tried the the CTU Blue and think I have found my ball. It is as long and as straight as the pure distance balls but it stops very well on the green. Its still not quite as good as a strata at stopping but it seems an excellent compromise between my Precept Extra Distance which flew straight and long but could not hold a green and the Strata which held the green but was short and prone to the effects of side spin (as was the Pro V1 I tried). The CTU blue has a nice soft feel on chips and putts too and seems to putt well. Overall a really excellent ball that does not excell at one particular thing but does everything very well.

This ball has some very nice features. It feels great off the irons and drives very long. It has good spin on the greens. It does not spin to the level of a Strata but will get the job done. My problem with this ball is that it seems to be very inconsistent in distance control with the putter and the wedges. There seems to be a large variance between distance when struck with the putter. The red version is a little firmer and a better ball. I won''t play this ball again.

This is an all around top tier ball with excellent distance off the tee and superb stopping power on shots to the green that must hold. The CTU is far better in windy conditions than the Callaway Blue or Red Rule 35. It putts as well as any ball that I have used, with the exception of the Titleist Professsional. However, it is considerably longer than the Titleist Professional, so it gets the nod for me every time. It holds greens far better than the Titleist Pro V1 and is a better all around ball than the Nike Tour Accuracy (that is a very good ball). I am waiting for the new Callaway HX that should raise the bar for golf balls. Because of the technology, it is worth the price.
