Callaway Warbird Balls

Callaway Warbird Balls

DESCRIPTION

Now take that sorry excuse for a ball you've been toying with and trade it in for the Warbird golf ball. It's built long and powered by Callaway Golf technology to reward you with everything you want in a ball, and nothing you don't. The Warbird golf ball is a two-piece distance ball, power-packed with value and a firm 90 compression core. The testosterone … we mean tungsten-fueled rubber engine gives you greater ball velocity at impact for distance you've only dreamed about. It's wrapped in a tough cover made of ionomer. Don't worry about how to pronounce it - just know that it makes the Warbird a really looooong, durable ball. If you must impress your friends, ionomer (that's pronounced eye-ON-uh-mer) reduces spin and increases ball speed on driver and long iron shots. It also gives you excellent cut-proof and scuff-resistant durability, so no matter how hard you hit it, it still looks good. Now beat it, and have a nice flight.

Played this ball for month now after always hesitating because of mixed reviews. Boy, was I surprised by how straight and lively this ball was. Long shots LONG and soft. Chips hard, but I got it to stick. Putts WONDERFULLY and true. Will definitely recommend this ball to any level golfer.

I have tried just about every ball out there it seems. Some of my favorites are Titleist NXT, Bridgestone s330, Hogans, and these Warbirds. I cannot really state with any authority that the Warbirds 'help' my game. Simply, they are a great ball which has no negative effect on my play. The price is about 50% of the others that I like. Finally, there's still a little snob appeal should it be needed in certain situations.

I won a box in a lucky draw during a competition. Yes, this ball fly long, very hard. I had problems keeping it on the fairway, putting was not easy with this ball as well. I would not pay for these balls. There are balls with better return and value than these for hard 2-piece lasting ball (like Wilson TC2). But as usual, these hard balls are hard to put well.

Wow, this ball really flies!!! I really enjoyed playing the Warbird. It does feel a little heavy when you hit the ball, especially with the driver. It flies true and does not stray far from straight. I used to use a spin and feel ball but had problems keeping it in the fairway. You do not get the best feel around the greens but I could still control the ball pretty well. I was also still able to get the ball to check up pretty well when hitting my low irons and wedges. I am sticking with this ball.

This is callaways long ball. On wet days when it's all about carry, this is your ball. This is not a all around balanced playability or feel ball. It goes long and the rest is up to you! So if distance is what you seek, give this ball a try!

I'm a ball Hawk! Never buy golfballs because I find them all the time.

Bought these balls hoping to find a high performing ball at a reasonable price ($14.95 at my local golf retailer). They are long, but are the typical hard-cover ball built for distance only. If you are looking at these balls, it means you are probably trying to find a good, affordable ball. If that's the case and you don't mind long-distance balls with little feel, then you'd probably be better off buying the Top Flight XLs (15 balls for $11 at Wal-Mart). If you are looking for a little softer feel and more performance at a still reasonable price, I'd check out the Big Berthas. They are $20 and are much better than the Warbird. If you choose to do this, go ahead and get the blues. They have a better feel and spin more. Plus, I didn't notice any lack in distance to the reds.

These balls are crap. If you just want to hit the ball a long way with a cheap ball, this is it. I cannot say it goes as far or farther than my Strata Tour Aces. Forget feel around the green, this ball has none. Just hit it short and pray that is stops close to the hole. Do yourself a favour and ante up a couple of dollars more and get The Maxfli Noodle or Callaway HX 2-pc. These balls will go far and give good feel for the dollar!

Definitely the longest balls I have played and I recommend them to any player who lacks distance such as high handicappers and seniors.

Thought this was the worst Callaway ball made. I'm surprised that others seem to like it. It felt terrible, was not long, and did not want to stop. Well, I guess that it's a good thing that it didn't want to stop as it needs to keep going and not come back. Ball go far--very far and don't come back!!!

Customer Service

Always superb. Can't be beat!
