This is a pretty good ball for the price. It has low spin off the driver and produces a pretty good trajectory that flattens out with little side spin. Off iron shots it has pretty good spin. Around the greens it has good feel and spin to control your chip shots. Still the best ball out there is the PRO-V1x, but at 45 bucks a dozen, it stings to lose one of those. The Black Max for the price is a great ball.

after reading the reviews I bought a box to try and they were fairly inexpensive.
but I don't like them. I found them to fly shorter than say the prov1 or callaway hx-tour, durability is ok

Great ball...spins less than the ProV1 but more than the ProV1x. Excellent distance off the tee. Good feel around the greens and putts true. I had no problems with durability but then I play a ball for 18 holes and then it goes in the shag bag. Great buy on eBay!

I love this ball! It perfectly suits my game. It is long and straight off the tee. It spins just right, slightly less than a Pro V1 but more than most. Most iron shots just stop in place or back up slightly. It feels soft around the green and putts very nicely indeed. It is very durable, I sometimes get 4 or 5 rounds out of a ball. And the best part is it is a bargain. You can usually find these on eBay for around $20-25 a box. It is a true 3-piece premium ball at VERY affordable prices.

I'm the type of guy that likes to try every ball out there, and I don't like this ball. I strike the ball with a decending, trap like swing. This obviously produces a low ball flight. However, this ball ballooned (severely) and cost me plenty of distance. Just my opinion but there are better balls out there.

I found this ball on a course and gave it a try. I found it to be very good. Long and very straight off the tee, and exceptional second shot spin. I have gained about 10yrds of the tee, and have been able to create spin around the green with ease.

great ball . as good as the prov and cheaper. definitely skuffs up a little more than most balls but putts very nice and long off the tee. less spin off the tee than the pro v as well but i do believe the distance of the pro v is better with the short irons. definitely worth a try.

I found one of these earlier this year and gave it a try. I really like the ball and have been playing it ever since. This ball has as much distance as any other ball I've played, and has a better feel to me than the others. I'll admit that the ball doesn't hold up forever, but I can get at least one round out of a ball without any major blemishes (except trees and cart paths, of course). With this ball available at $30 now, you really should give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Bought these balls based on reviews I read, the fact that they were marked down to $30/dzn., and my very very favorable experience over the past several years with Maxfli's Noodle. I have noticed the wear and tear issues that have been raised in the other reviews, and the decent length off the tee and control around the greens. However, my approach shots with my short irons with this ball are all 10 yards shorter than with a Noodle or a Pro V1 - can't quite explain it but I have hit multiple shots with three balls and that's just the way it is.

This ball does not really compare to the other modern technology balls. The balls i recently switched to are much better. i have better feel areound the greens with other balls and it gives me confident. i recommend buying quality ball instead of maxfli balls.also, this ball gave me absolutely no distance improvement.
