Maxfli Fire Tour Balls

Maxfli Fire Tour Balls

DESCRIPTION

Designed by John Daly for John Daly. The new Tour Fire cranks out Tour-caliber distance. John wouldn't have it any other way. This ball has a suprisingly soft feel for a distance ball.

this is not as good as the nxt series or the callaway hx hot. not as much check on the greens and the distance increase is negligible. great ball and value for someone who shoots in the high 80's, but you can get the same kind of performance from the Titleist DT SOLO.

i'm not sure if this is supposed to be the replacement to the Maxfli blackmax, but it isn't even close. overall, not a bad golf ball, but feels like hitting a rock and has very little check on the greens. Good ball for a dirt track.

Over the past 2 days I've been able to play the Tour Fire about 45 holes, mostly played side by side with my usual gamer, Pro V1; I'm always in search of a ball that will give me "enough" so that I can stop paying the ridiculous cost of Pro V's. Have I found it?

For my game, Handicap Index 4.9, of all the balls I've played (read...I've played them all), this ball in green side manners comes in 3rd behind the V1, then HX Tour 56; It's longer and noticeably a straighter flyer off the driver and even the long irons than the other two if you miss hit, so that's a plus for mid-cappers and up for sure.
Unfortunately, while the pro v1 "bites and hugs the green", the Tour Fire hits, and stops. The biggest backspin I could place on the ball yesterday was 1 foot, whereas the v1 I could spin it back when needed 4 - 6 feet. So, IMHO, the green side manners are very good, quite good, in fact, but just not enough for me to move to it just yet. I am going to keep playing with it, because if I can get it to "hop and stop" or even check real nice and stop with just a bit of a roll, and do that consistently, then learning to play with that bit of roll may be just the ticket, as I do like that it flies straighter, i.e. more fairways and first cuts -- at this point, after 45 or so holes, it's performing like it's a real possibility, and at almost half the price -- I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

On epinions.com there is an excellent review of this ball and I generally agree with the comments made; I've also heard it described as a "Soft" version of the TM Black -- and I agree -- actually, when I played the Tour Fire, it's what I thought the TM Red would play like!

Tried this *new* ball based on a few reviews (and the fact they stopped making the BlackMax). I had great success with this ball and found it to be at least 15 yds. longer. Had my playing partners try them as well just to make sure I was seeing things. My brother hit the longest drive of his life with it.
I made an Eagle on a par 5 (first one ever!) that I have been on only once (in two) over the past two years.
This ball has made me better looking and now I drive a sports car... ok, that isn't true.
The ball is very durable and does check nicely. If you are currently playing a three piece ball, try this one.

I hope Maxfli continues this line for a long time. They certainly made me happy!

This ball is awesome!

It checks well on the greens and even backed up on a few. Off the driver, it is everything advertised! This ball does everything I hoped to find in a ball under $30. Tonight it kicked the Bridgestone B330s out of my bag. The feel is very comparable, the Tour Fire is longer and holds the greens a bit better.

It feel great off the driver, and is best described as softly firm. Softer than the Pro V1 and flys VERY straight. I was able to hit a couple of controlled draws very easily and a couple of cut shots that didnt' lose yardage like other balls I have played. Had my best driving round this year. (Also reached a 530yd. Par 5 in 2 (fringe)) that I have NEVER gotten within 30 yards of before.

Off the irons, it feel GREAT! Off the wedges, it responds very nicely.

Feel off the putter is soft but solid and the ball rolls very well too.

I hope this honeymoon lasts a L o n g
time.

Thank you Maxfli and John Daly for the BEST VALUE in Golf Balls.

I started playing this ball last month when Maxfli was giving away a free 2 ball pack. It is now my favorite ball, replacing the Black Max.

It is long and has a great feel coming off all of the clubs. With a retail price of only $29.95 a dozen at Bonaventure Golf, it's a no-brainer choice for a 3 piece ball.

I won my first flighted tournament with this ball last week, so I may be slightly biased.
