Maxfli Fire Balls

DESCRIPTION

* Tri-component multi-layer construction for spectacular all-around spin performance
* fire golf balls maxfliHPF 1000 SpeedMantle
* Blazing ball speed for tremendous distance
* Combustible core compound stores and releases energy with explosive power, yet feels soft
* Fast, firm, thin and durable cover
* Quick cover-to-mantle energy transfer promotes faster ball-speed
* Orbicular dimple design knifes through the wind on a smooth and stable line
* Line-holding control and accuracy in windy conditions

What makes Maxfli Fire special (besides its great price) is its HPF 1000 SpeedMantle®, which works with the high-energy core to elevate the COR all the way up to .815. High COR equals blazing ball speed, which promotes tremendous distance. Testing proves that SpeedMantle is 7% faster than the mantle materials used in most competitive balls, yet it feels 24% softer.

Besides excellent speed, distance and feel, Maxfli Fire's multi-layer construction promotes tremendous spin performance. Its three layers work together to reduce spin off the driver and flatter-faced clubs to promote increased distance. However, the spin-rate increases dramatically with the middle-irons and peaks with the short-irons, resulting in terrific shot-stopping power on approach shots. Maxfli Fire also features an orange alignment stamp that's shaped like flame; a super-cool touch that will have players nodding their heads and smiling.

The thin-yet-durable Surlyn® cover (one of the thinnest among competitive models) contributes to this ball's great feel and also makes it easy to access and activate the power of the SpeedMantle, even for players with slow swing speeds.

That's what makes Maxfli Fire perfect for the rebel crowd. It offers terrific, multi-layer performance in terms of distance, feel and spin; it's got a cool logo and cool packaging, and best of all it's priced like a two-piece ball.

"Add it up and the answer is clear," says Bill Price, Maxfli director of marketing. "Maxfli Fire is destined to be one of the hottest new balls on the market."

I've used the Fire and the Tour Fire. Tour Fire is a better ball but for the money the Fire is the best deal around. As good as the PD soft and longer. No problem holding greens. Almost stops as good as a Pro V1. I use the Fire for regular rounds and the Tour Fire for tournaments.

These Maxfli Fire balls were on sale at Golfsmith for $9.95/dz. I had used the Maxfli Tour Fire in the past so I decided to give the regular Fire's a go. Bad mistake.

The ball played like a brick and was especially hard to control the distance on putts (greens were relatively soft and on the slow side and this ball seem to rocket off the putter). Had little feel on chips and pitches and short irons didn't stop very quickly either. The ball felt hard off the driver and didn't seem to offer much in the way of extra distance.

Finally switched to the Top-Flite D2 Distance in mid round. This ball felt significantly better than the Fire, but, like the Fire, didn't offer much stopping power or control for chips and pitches. The best low price ball for me is still the Nike PD Power Soft which seems to suit my driver swing very well and provides reasonable spin and control for greenside shots.

This isnt my normal ball. I usually play the Maxfli Noodle, Titleist NXT or the Nike Juice. I have mixed feelings about this ball. It definitely is a good ball for putting and long, straight shots. It is a little tricky to use with wedges and chips, but the right shot will hold some greens. It is also a very affordable three piece ball. What I don't like about this ball is how easily it is to scruff up the cover. Even on crisp mid iron and hybrid club shots, the ball cover got scuffed. It easily gets grass and dirt stains smeared on the cover (in it's defense, the course I used these on did not have many ball washers at the tee boxes). You probably wont get more than 3 or 4 holes out of a ball. There are also better balls from Maxfli and other ball companies that are good distance and short game balls. But, it is affordable and does go a long way on shots. I wouldnt use this in a competition or a match, but worth a try if you can get a sleeve.

I have used all the best balls out there. After using the Fire, I must say I was very impressed with the distance. Almost 10 yards farther on average. And putting feeling was very good too. Worth a sleeve to see if you experience the same.

Great 3 piece ball for the money. Durable cover. Never an issue with cutting the cover. Balls goes a long way. Last summer I used one ball for an entire round and could have used it more. Not a mark on it. Nice feel on short shots too. Doesn't help me putt.

This is a pretty good ball. The distance on this ball is second to none. It also flies very straight. Putts roll very straight and feel good off the face. There are also a couple bad things about this ball. There is no possible way to get this ball to spin. I have also cracked a couple of them. So here's the deal if you want a distance ball this is hat you need but if you want a little spin you are out of luck.

Can't say a bad thing about this new ball. Got a comp 2 pack from Dick's. Was my favorite ball of all time before I made the turn shooting a 40 front and 44 back while being a 95 average duffer.
Ball flies long and very straight and is durable as the best on the market. I am a bump and run player and love the extra height generated by all clubs. Can't comment on spin or green holding properties but it putts like on rails and
never fakes you out on distance. Will be the only ball in my bag (unless something better comes along). But seriously, all mid to high hdcp golfers should give these a try...should bring nothing but smiles to your face!!

The MAXFLI Fire is a good ball for a good price. I've used it for 10 rounds now and have been pleased with the distance. Unfortunately its a tough ball to spin and I've cut the cover on 4 balls, which I've never done with any other.

I love ProV1s but too expensive for my game. As a moderately priced alternative I have been playing the MAXFLI BLACKMAX (3-piece). This year they discontinued that ball and the new Blackmax is a 2-piece distance ball. MAXFLI now has introduced the FIRE product. I tried the tour model recently...Its a perfect replacement for the previous BLACKMAX. It is as long as a PROV1 with soft feel off the driver. It is nice around the green and you can hit the little "checker" with it. Doesn't have the bite of the PROV1, more like the regular Callaway HEX Tour. Great for the $29 price point. Better than the NXT Tour. Nice compromise for the PROV1.
