For under $20, it's a very good ball. Comparable to the mid-range balls like NXTs and Bridgestone E+ series. Longer than the NXT Tour, but not as predictable as the E+ series. Feel of a 3-piece ball with good distance. Durability is a bit lower than it should be. I prefer the Bridgestone E+ series for mid-range ($25-30) balls, but for the price the U-tri is an excellent deal.

I bought four dozen of these online for about $45, brand new. This is the first three piece urethane ball I've played regularly and I love it. It gets good distance and is remarkably soft for a distance ball. It checks consistently on the greens and putts smoothly. The only drawback I have noticed is that it tends to scuff fairly easily, I'll go through a couple per round, maybe more, although I tend to mix in Titleists I've found. I prefer this ball to a ProV1 because I hit it a little longer. If you can find this ball on the web, stock up!

Very good ball. great distance and control. The wind has little or no effect. A bit hard to get, but a lake ball will do the job as good as a new one. Durable it is, so value for money.

Great ball and an exceptional value, these balls are available at rockbottom golf for $12.99 a dozen!

I’ve played a few of the high-end balls. For me, the U-Tri tour and Pro V1 spun too much and I would “balloon” my mid-irons and lose about 15 yards off the tee on drives. Both of these balls were exceptional around the green.

The Nike One Black and the Pro V1x are the best overall balls I’ve ever played but they cost almost $4 a piece. The U-Tri ED is just as long with a little less spin.

I’m not a poor man but I just can’t justify spending $4 on a golf ball when I can get 90% of the performance from a ball that costs just a fraction of that price.

I’ll play a couple of tournaments this year and in those tournaments I will spurge and play Pro V1X’s but otherwise I’ll be playing the U-Tri ED.

it's pretty long & Soft but honestly this ball(not me)seems to play inconsistent compared to Pro V's & others. For - $20 it would be good but @ + $24 not a great deal. I will be using something else.

I left this ball when the new Bridgestone
E-5 & E-6 came out. The U-Tri's had been disc. I noticed my chips were not as good. I found some U-Tri's at Target and bought
3 boxes at $23.00. This ball had been
my all time favorite, for me better than
the Pro-V. It has the right mix of spin for driver and irons. You should check
them out if you can.

Ok i just found one ball on the fairway and gave it a try for the rest of my day, so this review is based on a single ball (sorry).
I was totally amazed that my tee shot were so damn long i couldn`t believe my eyes. On some par 4`s i was damn close to the green with my driver. Distance was around 300 yards, still it didn`t feel like a rock as many other 'distance' balls, on the contrary it felt real sweet. Even on the green the ball checked nicely and soft. Putting worked well. The price/performance ratio on these balls is great, couldn`t imagine a ball beating it.
Can`t compare it to the U-Tri Tour as i havent played it yet.

Just got to admit that after all this while (3 years) of testing all kind of golf balls I keep coming back to the U-Tri Extra Distance. This is the best ball that I believe to be up with the big boys but yet soft in the wallet department. This ball actually was my standard ball apart from ProV1 which I could not afford. So started searching for other balls, did manage to stay awhile with Laddie and Solo but I feel there was something missing. I'm always accurate with my irons by using this ball and putting was great which gave me the highest confidence. My driving dispersion was very well controlled with good distance thats comparable to PROV1. Now trying to fill up my stock with this ball.

Finally marketing hype and reality meet. This ball, as it's name suggests, is long. Definitely as long, if not a little longer than the Few Pro V/Vx's I have tried. Ball flight is very good. I am learning how to work the ball and I got it to draw and fade as best I could. It is well mannered around the greens and putts true. Golf Digest calls the U-Tri series the poor man's Pro V and I am a believer. The best part is I only lost one ball for my whole round. The balls look great with little or no scuff marks.

I have played Precept golf balls for years. My first hole in one was with a Laddie. I switched to the U-Tri Distance. This is one great golf ball, long, straight and good around the greens. If you want consistnecy and accuracy, this is the ball for you. Plus it's under $30/dozen. it just doesn't get any better.
