The Tour Ultimate is very similar to the pro V1. The only differences between the 2 are the Tour Ultimate is softer and awesome for par3's and approach shots. The Pro V1 might be a little longer. But the Strata is much cheaper. Even if your apparch game isn't too strong you can make this ball "hop and stop." And the feel when putting is also really good.

Not too fond of this ball. Has a good feel but, my irons eat this ball up. It's usually pretty scuffed up after 3 or 4 holes. It's also about 5 to 10 yards shorter than a Pro V1.

I've scored the most birdies with this ball and Maxfli Revolutions. This ball is now as cheap as the Maxfli Revolutions, at about $22 a dozen. It probably flies longer than the Revolution though not as soft. If anything, the Revolutions may be too soft. Yes, it does scuff easily, but it is easy to control. It is one of the better value balls in the market. I've also played the TU2, not nearly as good as this one.

Nice, softish (not mushy) feel off the tee. And this balls really accepts spin well. My limited experience is that it carries about as well as the ProVI and spins almost as well. In fact the spin of the Tour Ultimate seems to be more predictable than the ProVI (not VI*, which I have never hit). I have not played the ProVI as much as the Strata but have, on several occasions, seen what I call "anamolous spin events" with the ProVI where (for example) a 80 yard SW has spun wildly off the green. I have not encountered this with the Strata (which I have played quite a bit). But this thing scuffs after being given a harsh glance. I have never played a ball that scuffs so readily. The courses that I play are tight, but without a lot of water holes, I don't lose a lot of balls. I'm not sure that I spend less for Strata's than I would for ProVI's at 50% more.

I've been very pleased with the PV1, but given the price (now down to about $35 / dozen in my area), I had migrated over the past couple of years toward the Strata Tour Professional or Titleist Tour Prestige as high(er) quality balls that did not cost a fortune. I recently found the Strata Tour Ultimates at $20 / dozen and under and have been pleasantly surprised - the ball seems a worthy competitor to the PV1, and I especially like the spin on pitches and chips. The ball putts true and has reasonable "feel" off the clubface (I have Mizuno MX 20 forged irons). I don't think of it as particularly long, but it seems long enough. The only gripe would be durability - I have Cleveland 900 forged wedges, and trust me, if you're using sharp, square grooves, you will go through these golf balls quickly (however, at about $1.50 apiece, I don't mind this so much). Still, I will gladly trade more spin / control from 125 yards and in for an incremental 8-10 yards off the tee. I would think this ball at $20 and less / dozen has to represent one of the very best ball values anywhere today.

Almost as long as a distance ball and spins. Unlike some others I don't get the weird ball taking off scenario, I just get the flight that corresponds with how well I've hit the ball. I used to use Pro V1's but switched to these and haven't noticied any difference (apart from price)

If i had a choice i would prob. play this ball. I dont buy balls, just find em and play em. I find alot of pro v1's. A few sleeves of the Strata's were given to me and i thought the cover was amazing. Soft, but the inside feels like a rock. The tungsten prob gives it a lil more roll and the spin on the greens is amazing. Still not as durable as that damn Pro V1 that unmatches everything.
