At least for now my search for a suitable ball is over, this one really shines in almost every way.
Feels like balata, is 1 club longer than TopFlite Freak and 2 clubs longer than ProV1.
Putts great, chipping and pitching is excellent with a nice little run out that is consistent.
I like it much better than TaylorMade's other balls and for the $ it can't be beat. Low compression (60)seems to work very well as ball tech continues to advance. My clubhead speed is 95-100 and this ball just works perfectly in this range. So far this is the best all around ball for my game I've ever hit. Did I mention that it FEELS great . . . very much like the days of wound balata balls.

I've hit just about every high end ball on the market over the years but not many low compression softer balls.

A great ball for extra distance. Im not sure if it comes off the clubs better since I use Taylormade irons but it sure seems to make a difference in distance. Not a soft ball but softer then some of the other two piece balls that are made for distance.

For this price point, this is one terrific ball!

Driver (Cleveland Launcher Comp, 10.5)feel and distance are excellent. Trajectory is not too high or low-just about perfect in my opinion. And, man, is this ball straight!

Off the irons (Mizuno MX-20), the feel and trajectory were just great. Aim your clubface, put a good swing on it and this ball will go where it's told to.

Short game behavior of the Burner is very acceptable. Granted, it will not give you the "drop and stop" action of the tour-level balls, but the ball stops in a reasonable distance after hitting the green.

The feel off the putter is likewise excellent. I had no trouble with feel or distance control at all.

The main difference in the Burner vs a tour ball is around the green when playing delicate pitches and chips. The ball doesn't have the high rpm's of a premium ball so you won't be able to play that low, running, high spinning chip shot that suddenly grabs and stops dead by the hole. Also you'll have to plan for some run-out on little pitch shots. You won't be able to throw it hole high and have it stop dead in its tracks.

In conclusion, you get a lot of ball for $20. Unless you're playing on extremely hard and fast greens that demand tour caliber spin for control, this may be all the ball you really need.
