I think this is a great feeling ball and used it it for a while untill I found the xl 2000 extra long. They have the same feel as the HP2 but are longer, more durable, and cheaper. As far as spin rates go too much spin hurts a lot of players because it is just not backspin but sidespin too. This is a good ball for someone who wants a soft durable ball and has the ability to control it. I think the average player would be better off with the xl 2000 though.

The HP2 Tour features a new improved cover formulation and cutting edge two-piece technology to deliver even longer distance off the tee and long irons. The responsive high-performance lithium surlyn cover combined with a soft compression provides the optimum balance of two-piece spin, distance, and soft wound ball-like feel. Suggested for low-handicappers. I think the Professional is better, but the HP2 Tour is cheaper so pick which one matters to you.

Well, this is a really nice ball. Gives me good distance of tee and because I believe its quite heavy, it rolls good on the greens. This ball and the Strata's are my favourites as both ball enables me to shape shot and they drop dead on the greens

I always get good stopping power on these from 80 yards and in with a pitching wedge. Makes it a lot easier to get it close. Flies strong off the driver, and feels nice off the irons. I haven't tried the HP Tour yet, but I hope it's very similar to this one.

This is one of my favorite balls. It is soft, long, and spins very well. However, it isn't too soft, it has that "Crisp" feeling. You must try these.

I loved this ball.It had great distance and outstanding feel.It was my ball of choice, but Titleist stopped making it.It was about $7 a sleeve and no more than $30 a dozen. So the price made it an outstanding bargain. The first time I hit the ball it sailed a long way. Then on the green I was able to putt with confidence with its exceptional feel. Please Titleist if you read this a broken-hearted Texan wants his ball back(-:!!!!

This is a quality ball from a quality ball manufacturer. It has a soft feel, but not as soft as the Titleist Professional or balata. Therefore it also is a durable ball for the mid- to high-handicapper. It features an unusual dimple pattern which may contribute to the fact that the ball stays in play by minimizing spin. Only downside: Price. Over $10/sleeve at most stores. This is a trend I do not like.
