I have played over 20 balls in the last few years. My favorite has been the Pro V1x. At a local tournament we were all given a sleeve of the Titleist NXT Tour balls. I had played them before a few years ago and was not thrilled with the performance. I gave the balls a try a week later and man was I surprised. They are every bit as long as my Pro V1x and have plenty of spin. The balls are also very soft off the putter so you dont get that $20 clicking sound like other low cost balls. I would recommend this ball to anyone at any level. You will be surprised at how well this ball holds up against the best balls on the market.

First of all, I keep seeing people referring to this as a two-piece ball, which it is not. Titleist went to a three-piece NXT Tour a few years ago, whereas the regular NXT (now called the NXT Extreme) is a two-piece. I love this ball. For the vast majority of us (shooting from low 70s to high 90s) this does anything the ProV1 will do but with an extra 8 yards off the tee, according to Golf Magazine's study. That is because it is made for a little slower swing speed than the ProV1. These are great. The cover could be a little more durable (my Vokey spin-mill wedges scuff them on full shots), but that's just one more reason to use this not the more expensive ProV1 that also scuffs. This performs like most companies' tour balls.

Excellent golf Ball. I have been playing the NXT Tour since it inception. This ball has the right feel in all of the right places. In my younger days of playing competitive golf (USGA Index of 0.8) the Titleist Balata and then the Titleist Professional couldn’t be beat. I enjoyed the feel and accuracy of a three piece wound ball, but not the durability. Being a Titleist fan for many years, I made the transition to the two piece NXT Tour and haven’t looked back. I have played the Pro V1 line and liked them, but not the price. Now that I have to pay full price for my own equipment, pay a mortgage, etc., the NXT Tour is where it’s at. This ball is long off the tee, good mid-iron playability and very good around and on the green. If you’re looking for an excellent ball at a good price, this is it. Comparing this ball to the Pro V1 or any three piece tour ball to the NXT Tour is apples and oranges. The feel is considerably different. To wrap up, the NXT is an excellent golf ball.

I started using these balls regularly about two months ago from bouncing around most of the time between balls. Im very pleased with it, but not blown away. The NXT tour is a good all around ball for players that use forged irons. Like most two piece balls, you have to compress it well on impact with a high swing speed to get anything out of it. I dont do that enough to warrant playing pro V1's so the NXT tour is a good between ball for me because i get similar performance at a more reasonable price. Though it could be alot cheaper. Its cover is hard enough to get a little distance on irons and still soft enough to get good performance around the greens. It generally stops were it lands for me on a soft green and also durable enough that I can get one or even two rounds out of it. That is always good thing. A perfect ball for mid handicapers, in my opinion.

After doing careful research and reading the Jan edition of Golf Magazine where they had an extensive review of 52 balls, I decided to try the NXT Tour. I normally avoid anything with "tour" in the name as that is usually a moniker for "better" players, something I am not. My swing speed is 90 and driver carry is only about 215. Anyway, this was the right choice. Off the tee the ball is roughly 10 yards longer. Wayward shots tend to not run away from the intended target ling and keep you in play. Iron shots pitch forward only once on a standard high lofted approach, and it has tremendous feel for chipping and putting. Have not noticed any misalignment with the alignment aid as others have stated. It is a bit pricey, $29.99 a dozen, but I find myself losing a lot less of these that I did the Top Flites. I gave them a 4 for value because this is not Titleist's premimum ball and it should not command such a high price.

For me, the NXT Tour is a great value. Although some balls may be longer or softer or whatever, these deliver for me the consistency that I look for in a golf ball. Distance is great with good roll when drawn and enough feel for pitching, chipping and putting to make me happy. The ball delivers consistent spin for me and comes off the face of the putter very nicely. I really never have to guess if the pitch is going to check up short or release for me. When hitting irons (MP-32's) to the green, the ball usually stops dead where it lands although it may release a few feet on the long irons (2,3,4)but usually stops right where I hit it. Remember that what is best for me may not be best for all. Try as many different balls as you can and make note of the differences in your game. These balls match very well with my Mizuno irons and I really like them.

found one on the 11th of my local when i hooked my nike ignite ball big time, and used it for the remainder of the round. had previously lost a pro v1 on the front 9 which was also found in the bushes. must say that the nxt tour is long and straight, was consistenly hitting 210-240m drives. i am only really knew to golf after having a 3 year hiatus and my game is not the best it could be so some of my shots were poor and club selection at times let me down. but this ball was amazing for me. was consitently hitting the green and setting up for birdie right up to the 18th only to be let down by my poor putting. it feels so soft off the driver and stops relatively quick on the greens as well. was pretty chuffed with my play up to the greens. will definitely buy a box when i manage to lose my other crappy balls, tommy armour super softs.

generally happy with the performance of the ball, good driver distance, decent iron control and spin around the greens. Only one gripe, the 2007 edition has the advertised "sight line" on it. The problem with the 2 dozen that I've used is that the sight line is rarely straight. It seems, unlike the Pro V1, the sight line is not stamped on the equator of the ball, which makes it useless. Ended up pulling out my trusty sharpie and drawing over it. But I digress, performance wise its a solid ball for the price.

All I can say is wow, this ball is long. I just got fitted for my driver (FT-5) and today I hit the longest balls ever. I hit my B330's about 300+ , I had 3 drives over 320 yards today. I had to club down on my 150 yard shots. I keep blowing them over the greens. Two thumbs up on this ball.
