Titleist NXT Balls

Titleist NXT Balls

DESCRIPTION

The new NXT features Titleist's advanced solid core and Fusablend cover technologies. NXT has been improved by reformulating the 1.550'' core to provide more speed and lower spin at a softer compression. The NXT's reformulated cover also increases the ball speed and reduces driver spin. The result is an even longer NXT golf ball that maintains its short game spin and control.

I use the nxt exclusively.I find better performance than the e6 or the hx hots, although thoses balls are also good. I'm a consistant mid to low 80s shooter, once in a great while just barely break the barrier. However, I want to play the ball ProV1Steve plays. If he can be a 19 handicapper and shoot in the 70s,that's the ball for me.

Heard alot of positve feedback on the NXT and decided to try a sleeve out. I normally play a 3 piece ball so was a little hesitant but was open to the idea.
Titleist has always made great equipment and their NXT line is a good compromise between price and performance. The NXT went up against Callaway's HX Hot, Maxfli Tour Revolution and the Pro V1 ('05).
In comparison, the NXT did extremely well off the tee. Nice trajectory, lower spin rate, consistent with good but not harsh feedback. Long irons fared equally well with good feel. Short/scoring irons was where the NXT suffers. Very low spin on 1/2, 3/4 and full shots but still able to control with minimal roll. Putting is very good. Nice feel, feedback but had difficulty with longer putts on distance control. I would accept that with some practice, this problem would be eliminated.
This ball was longer than all the mentioned products but was not the overall favourite.
The NXT is a very good choice for those seeking good overall performance without Pro V1 price, but if you like soft, responsive feedback with gobs of spin you'll have to spend a few more $$$. Otherwise, it's a tough ball to fault and is worth giving a sleeve a try.

I won a dozen of the Titleist NXT Tour and gave them a try. This year I’ve been playing exclusively the Bridgestone e6 which I was pleased with. When I finished Titleist NXT Tour, I purchased a dozen of the NXT along with a sleeve of the Bridgestone e5’s. Today was a rainy drizzly day so the course was empty allowing me to compare the balls through 9-holes. Because of the weather roll was not a factor and pretty much just the carry was where the ball ended up. The NXT was by far the longest off the tee with driver. The NXT Tour off the tee with driver was at least 20 and as much as 35 yards shorter then the NXT, while the Bridgestone e5 was about 10 yards shorter. As far as the shape of the shot, the NXT Tour was easier to keep straight and occasionally hooked, while the NXT was straight to slight fade (3-5yards right). The Bridgestone e5 was more difficult to keep straight with a borderline fade/slice (8-12yards right) The NXT was in the fairway at the center to right 5 out of the 7 driving holes as compared to 3 with the Bridgestone e5. The e6 matched the NXT but was consistently 20 yards behind the NXT. NXT will be the ball I continue to play.

I had tried the old NXT and NXT TOUR. They felt like duds. The new NXT is soft, but feels pretty good. Flys straight and is pretty long. I like this ball alot.

Customer Service

They sent me a 2 ball sleeve to try. Makes me want to buy some more, but I have too many new balls.

Model Reviewed: Titleist NXT (non Tour)

About a year ago I was looking for a new golf ball so I bought every kind of decent ball I could think of like HX Tour, Pro Vl, Srixon, NXT, Dt Solo, NXT Tour, Maxfli Rev Tour and Precept U Tri Tour. I tried all of these golf balls at a variety of different shots and puuts. They were all very good golf balls. But the NXT (non Tour) was the one that stood out the most. I'm only 13 so I don't have a very fast swing speed so the NXT flew further stopped around the greens was long of the tee and had the right feel I wanted so I still play it today.

This is a good ball for the average golfer. It is consistent off the tee and is soft around the green. People compare this ball to Pro V1's and Pro V1x that is like comparing a Ford Focus to a Ferrari. If you have a real slowswing speed try the DT So/Lo.

This is a great ball. Very long and accurate and probably the best ball I have played to date. I got them for a gift on my 30th B-Day and loved them. I have always just used any old ball and was fine with it and then I got these and my game took off, still shooting in the 90's but I go into the 80's now and then and this down from 100's and into the 90's. A lot of people say the ball doesn't matter but it does. You dont need to spend 50 bucks but spend the 20-30 bucks and play the same ball all the time that you like and you will see more consistency in yoru game.

The NXT is good for what Titleist designed it to be: A distance ball...period. It's a $23 a dozen handicapper ball not intended to be compared to $40+ pro-line balls. Of course the Nike One Black is a better ball, or the Pro V1 has better feel...THEY COST TWICE AS MUCH...19 handicap .
