People on this and other review sites complain about how this particular ball is shorter than their titanium balls and is less durable than the like. Well, when the word "Balata" appears on the box, you can't expect it be as long as a Double Titanium or as durable as a Top Flite XL. This is an entirely different kind of ball with different performance characteristics. This ball will spin like nothing I've ever tried before, and believe me, everything's been in my bag. If you want to find out the advantage of using a Tour Balata, go out to your home course and drop a Balata and any two-piece ball behind a bunker with little green to work with. Hit 5 shots with each ball. Now, would you like to have that 6 footer the Tour Balata gives or the 15 of the two piece? You tell me. Sure, you'll lose 5 yards off the tee and 3 off your irons, but who cares with the short game advantages you will quickly attain. This ball will save you at least 2 shots a round with its accuracy off your irons and spin off those half wedges, not to mention the uncanny way your ball always seems to track perfectly with this Balata on the green. Also, the price listed above is ridiculous. I rarely see a dozen of these above 35.00. Furthermore, you can go buy a box of X-outs for about 18.00 and enjoy the same features of the "real" ball at about half the price. Wonder why touring pros like Lehman and Garcia play this ball, it gives them the ability to hit fades, draws, knock-downs, and any other shot they can think of with ease. Just go buy a box of X-outs and give these amazing Titleists a shot. If you have any short game skills at all, you'll never go back to your Dunlops.

Customer Service

Sent my Vokey Wedge back due to the finish flaking off. They offered to refinish it for free and were very helpful. However, they promised to get it back to me in less than two weeks but I haven't gotten my club back yet and it's been three. Not impressed.

Marshmallow soft feel. Great spin, kept chipping it short until I got use to how quick they stop. Scuffs very easily, virtually unusable after 3 or 4 holes.

Love the feel of this ball. You might lose 5-7 yards off the tee but you can hole chips nad sink putts like no other with this ball. It is simply the best ball I have played. I can't tell you how many times the ball has stopped less than a club length from it's divot. They don't last long though, I have yet to play through nine with one ball.

These golf balls are extremely soft and play like no other around the greens. Off the tee, they are a little shorter than other balls like the Titleist HP. For approach shots and putting, they are the best. The only downfall is the longevity. I can rarely make it through 9 holes with one ball. They scuff easily.

This is by far my favorite ball to play!!! If I had all the money in the world I would only play this ball, but I don’t so I can’t. However I do play a balata ball whenever playing for $$$, so that should tell you what kind of faith that I have in this ball. Shoot this ball pin high and watch it stick, and yes this ball does spin a lot maybe a little too much. But hey this is why you buy this ball to watch it dance your opponent’s money into your pockets. Oh did I mention that putting is superb with the ball (such soft feeeeeeeeeeeel), this ball is so responsive it’s like it has it’s own GPS to get to the hole.

Have used all high-end balls and found this ball to be the best. Not a get value, because the ball doesn’t last longer than a round (maybe even less if you put 2 =) on the ball). If you are just playing to have fun, use a Titleist Professional ball the covers are way more durable (with the same performance, just not the same feel). That is what I do

Great feel off the tee but lacks distance. You can generate a lot of spin around the green to either stick it or roll it back to the hole.Good roll and feel when putting.Only problem is the durability. After a few holes it feels like the ball went through a cheese grater.A little pricey considering the durability.

its short, it is not durable but it stops on a dime, feels wonderful and, if not out of round, putts great. The target golf possibilites make up for the lack of distance. It has charisma.

If you like to shape your shots, there is no better ball in the world than this. You can put whatever amount of sidespin you like on it and this ball will go left, right or up reliably and then stop dead on the green. On the right type of course, with a shotmaking golfer, this ball can be a scoring machine. But......... I, for one, can't really afford to pay $3 for a ball that is going to be egg-shaped after two holes of play. I gladly play x-outs and balls I find, but I can't afford this much for a ball whose durability is practically zero.
The Tour Balata is also the shortest ball on the market. I'm reasonably long but I rarely get more than 270 yrds out of these orbs. Expect 20 yrds less than a double cover ball.
I like a soft ball, but this is maybe a little too soft. Feels lightweight, almost feathery.
Overall this is really a special purpose ball. It excels at spin, but isn't really good at anything else. It's short, it's expensive and a few holes of play will pretty much destroy it. The modern double cover balls seem to me to be better for general play. But if you need spin and don't mind giving up considerable distance, then there is nothing better.

Nothing else like it. Nothing spins more, but nothing is shorter either.
