This ball does it all. Respectable distance, holds its line, good ball flight, nice feel, and excellent green grabbing ability. In my opinion, this ball held up as well as any other "soft" ball under normal playing conditions. Great Ball for the money. Can't wait to see what version II will be like.

I agree with the other reviews of this product. This balls holds the green very well. I played 9 holes with three balls. I didn't notice any scuff marks, except for the ball that hit the tree. Don't purchase the expensive balls, but the Top Flite Tour. Give the balls a try!!

I had heard and read good things about this ball so, for $19, it was an easy purchase. I usually play higher priced "premium" balls (Titleist ProV1, ProV1*, ProV1x, Apex Tour, Nike TW, Maxfli M3, ect.) with no clear cut favorites. I have used the Tours for several rounds and have been fairly impressed with their overall performance. The feel is unlike any Top Flight I've ever tried before, softer, friendlier, smoother. Distance has been average, green holding ability excellent and they putt very well. Unfortunately, the covers shred VERY easily! After hitting my first iron shot with these balls (a SW approach) I found that the grooves had cut well into the cover. Of course that gave me lots of spin, but...... The balls continued to shred with each short iron shot and it was not unusual to have small strips of cover hanging off the ball when I marked them on the green. After only three or four holes the balls were really chewed up looking. So much for durability. I do, however, have a high swingspeed and hit the ball very aggressively. I tend to scuff up almost all balls, just not as much as with this one. I do think that this would be a great value ball for most players with lower swing speeds who would not tear the covers up so easily. At this price anyone can get an idea of how the high priced balls feel and work. A great value for the money for many players. For "hard hitters" only if they improve the durability.

I have been searching for a ball that feels good chipping and putting without sacrificing distance. Balls like the Strata are too soft, and most Topflite's and other distance balls are too hard to use around the greens. There is always the ProV1 but I cannot bring myself to hit $4 down the fairway (correction, into the rough, woods, cartpaths, etc.). I have historically kept clear of Topflite (Rockflite) balls until someone gave me some XL3000 Superfeels earlier this season. I liked them off the tee, I loved the durability, they chipped well, I just did not putt them that good. That experience led me to look at the Topflite tour, overall I am quite happy with this ball. It seems to drive as far as the Titleist DT Solo, or Topflite XL3000 Superfeel but has that better feel around the greens. I did find a ball last year that I liked, the Prostaff Platinum Spin Distance. This ball was inexpensive, flew high, landed soft, felt good around and on the green. I really liked this ball, but there were 2 problems, first it was discontinued and second it shred everytime I hit it with an iron. I must have 10 balls that are so scuffed up I cant use them anymore. Ever since I have been looking for a ball with that feel with better durablility. The Titleists and XL3000's are much more durable, able to survive several rounds without any real damage. I have yet to make it through a round with the TFT without cutting or scuffing the ball. It is more durable then the Prostaff ball I used to play, and to be fair, I will say that most of the damage comes from miss-hits and trees. Some scuffing is visible from iron shots. To make a long story short, I think that this is a very good ball, at a great price. This would be an amazing ball if it had the durability equivilant to Titleist or its Topflite siblings.

This ball gives me everything I need. Very similar distance to noodle, laddie, etc, with more bite and short game feel than most balls in that category. BUT!!! This thing shreds like a head of lettuce! Lasted three holes each. Too bad. This is a great ball. A really great ball, but not at 6 balls a round.

This is the best ball I have ever played. I played it yesterday for the first time and hit 4 GIR and 5 fairways for nine holes which is really an improvement for me. The ball climbs extremely high with all irons and just sticks on the green. I even made a few balls back up. I was able to get the ball resonably high with a solid 3 iron shot from around 200yds and stick it on the green. Excellent around the green and good feel for putting. This ball allows you to take a 60 degree and attack the pin without having to worry about rolling past. Try it out and it will definitely improve your game. I had no problems with scuffing of the cover as mentioned in other reviews.

THIS IS NOT YOUR FATHER'S TOP-FLITE. The only criticism is durability. What!? A Top-Flite that isn't durable? I remember playing one ball for a month without scuffing. Low-compression(66),low spin off the tee. Comparable to the premium priced balls. If you have adequate distance, this may add a few yards. If you swing over 110 MPH, then this ball will feel mushy. The astounding aspect of these balls is how the perform around the green. True, they "shred" with SOME wedge shots, but not nearly to the same degree as the Nike Tour Accuracy, which spun too much. The TFT has to be the best ball for the money at this time. The company has refocused and renamed itself to get with the times, and has always been a technological leader and innovator with respect to solid-core balls. Everyone else is just catching up. The ProV1 is overrated and overpriced.

Good feeling ball with good distance and excellent spin. The only problem is the cover. At the rate I had to replace these, I'm better off paying for the Pro V1(a much more durable ball).

I thought I would give this ball a try. I have played the ball with two sets of clubs. First my square groove Ping Eye 2's. Scuffed the ball with every shot. Very soft. My new Clevelands did the same thing. This ball goes well, you just have to replace it after every approach shot. Go with the Titlest SoLo's. They seem to be a little farther and much more durable.
