OK, how is this possible? It spins, it's long, it's durable and it's inexpensive!! Can't believe it. This is now my ball, especially at $15 for 15 balls. Price aside, you won't find too many better.

I started playing the Magnas a year ago and it's now my regular ball (I play 3-4 rounds a week and am a 15 handicap). From a value standpoint, they're great at about $17 for 15 balls. They're reasonably durable and consistent from one box to the next. I'm sure there are longer balls out there, but I have no problem with distance and can hit 275-280 drives no problem (240 - 250 on mis-hits) and an 8 iron from the 150. I won two long drive contests last year w/ the magna. I have no problem at all holding greens, but that probably has more to do w/ my high trajectory than the ball. I like the larger size ball, especially from the short game. It sits up nicely on the fairways & rough & the larger ball (compare it to a regular ball, it really is bigger) gives me confidence. Overall, I know I'm giving up a little distance for accuracy, and well hit balls feel wonderful.

Personally, I love this ball. Not only is it fairly inexpensive, but I believe that it is one of the best balls out there (and not only in it's price range). I like the feel when it comes off the club face. It seems to spring off, and it feels very soft. I also think that it spins very well, giving me accuracy and control. If i would improve on one thing it would be it's durability. It scratches and marks even with sand-shots. But that is fairly minor, especially when you pay only $1.25 per ball. Compared to $3.50 for others.

Model Reviewed: xl 2000 magna distance

I recently got some of the titleist pro v1's to compare against these. I hit both balls with my 3 wood with a consistent swing and both balls flew exactly the same distance (about 200 yds). I don't have the fastest swing speed as you can see by my 3 wood distance, but basically I get the same distance from the XL2000 (outside temp in the mid-60s). I have had a little more time to analyze the XL2000 distance and was playing it exclusively. I found that in addition to the distance, I get it to sit down on the greens very well from 150 yds. and in. The price is alot better than paying the money for the ProV1's for sure. The proV's have a nice rubbery soft feel around the green and putting which makes them a little better if you want to spend double the price.

I loved this ball. I read on here about no more top-rocks and dicided to give them a try. Their right, this ball feels soft when hitting with all the clubs. But what distance I am getting. I hit a 9-iron 125yds, but with these balls it jumped to 135yds. I was using the higher priced balls (ie.Nike, Titeles, TylorMade,) but for us 80 handy-cap and above who cares if we spin it. I do get embaressed in turnaments, but when I out drive them it kind of goes away. :)

Spaulding finally got it together. A great ball with a great price. No more "Top Rocks" with the XL 2000. The balata cover gives this a nice soft feel. The best ball for the price on the market, period. This ball is showing up in more and more of my buddies bags.

Model Reviewed: xl 2000 extra long, aero

for those of you who have not played Top Flite balls in years, should try them again. Gone are those horrible, rock felling balls. Thank God. What has taken place is the XL 2000 series. The first thing that you will notice is the price. $15.00 a dozen is very good. The second thing that you will notice is the feel. It is much better than in the past. In raw distance, I really do not believe that there is a longer ball out there than the XL 2000. Both the aero and the extra long are just that; LONG! I know that it is boring to see review after review about people buying a new ball, and "PRESTO, 20 more yards!!!!!", but this ball really did go longer than anything else. At $15, this was awesome. My new regular ball, and the best value in the buseness, right? Wrong. This extra distance works both ways. This ball allows me to swing alot of pw's through 8 irons into greens, but too many times, I have walked up to the green to find my ball through the green, finding the ball marker below the hole. so, this ball is perfect for high handicappers and seniors who want more distance. Lower handicappers probable will not like this ball.

Model Reviewed: Top Flite XL 2000 Magna Control

I am a slicer. This ball help with controlling my slice. This ball is good off the tee and provides good distance. It is a ball that is especially good with irons. The downside is that the ball is hard, feels hard at impact. It doesn't perform well on fast greens, nor holds greens very well. In fact my short game suffered from using these in play this past season. They are "descent" for putting, but it's like putting a rock. If Top-Flite can make the "7" in the spin category an "8" or a "9" then you'll have a ball that would compete with the Pro-V1.
