Bought a box of these on sale at Bonaventure golf here in Augusta. Top Flite has discontinued these, but you can find deals on them at alot of places. If you are a Top Flite person like me, you will like them.

Opened them up on vacation. Great distance, nice feel overall. Played last sunday with them. Rolled in a birdie on a par 3. Havent seen one of those in a lonnnggg time. Hit some really good drives, good iron shots. Played some bump and run shots. Good times. Quite durable too. Almost drove a green on the last hole , a par 4, 330 yards. For a distance ball not a bad feel off the putter either. Get some!

Model Reviewed: Top Flite XL Extreme

I recently purchased a dozen of the new Top Flite XL Extreme balls and what a pleasant surprise. These balls are the best Top Flite has ever offered. They are not hard as a rock like some of the past Top Flite balls. These balls are long, really long. I have found myself dropping down a club, particularly with my mid and short irons. My game is not to the point where I demand a ball that I can spin back on the green but I have had no problem getting this ball to "check-up" on the green. In my honest opinion and for the money (around $18 to $20 per dozen) there is no better ball on the market, period. Give these balls a try. They will be in my bag for a long time to come.

I bought one dz. of Top Flite XL Extreme Tour which came with a free cap for $18. Played them on Sun, they were fine until one hole where I hit it onto green with my wedge and the outter layer was peeled off ~1/4". Never had a ball peeled before, mostly just scuffed or cut the worst. Can't buy them again.

I recently picked up a dozen Top Flite XL Extreme Tour balls. I have played Top Flite balls in the past and like everyone has said they were rocks. I also have played Strata Tour and just shredded them with any club. I found the XL Extreme Tour was a great ball. They have good distance and they spin great off the mid and low irons. They are softer then the past Top Flite balls, but they are not mush like the Maxfli Noodle. I play in the low 70s and have hit every major brand. Cost is important, but performance is right up there when you are looking to play your best. The Extreme Tour gives both, great performance with great cost, about $15 a dozen at the local Wal-Mart. The most important aspect of a ball for me is the ability to stop them on the green. This ball has it. This ball will back up like any pro-line ball I have played. Try them out you will not be disappointed.

I have been looking for a cheap performance ball (up to £15/doz) that doesnt shread with my wedges. This is the best I have found so far. These are great value and right on my bugget at £15/doz. They have good distance (not as long as the Maxfli Redmax) and a really nice soft feel. They putt very well and give good feedback.

The one problem I did find was getting them to fly straight. Now I know that this was probably down to my swing on the day but I seemed to hook these quite a lot with a selection of my irons, but whenever I hit a different ball in this round it went straight!!?? Maybe this type of ball isnt matched to my swing?

However, I am going to stick with them for a couple more rounds to see how I get on. The Redmax (my other favourite ball of the moment) does fly longer and straighter but it is slightly harder and so doesnt have as much feel.

I have been looking for a ball to stick with for the rest of the year and this is definately on the short list along with Maxfli Redmax & Bridgestone B330, I just need to find out why I couldnt hit them straight (hence only 4 stars overall)

Just picked up my second dozen of these balls at Wal-mart on sale for $15. Had been playing Top Flite Tours but can't find them anymore. The XL Extreme Tour was a nice surprise. The greens here in Texas are firm and fast (it's summer). I can stop this ball on a dime with 3-5 iron, back it up a just right with 6-SW.
I've played Pro V-1's and HX Tours and just spin way to much. Also, As long of the driver as anything out there. The XL Extreme Tour is perfect for my game and I save $30 per dozen. The days of the Rock Flite are over - This is a great ball!
