Model Reviewed: Wilson Titanium Pure Distance

Just started playing golf 3 months ago (previously only had pitch and putt set). None the wiser and bought a box from Asda/Walmart as the price was the best. I was expecting losses. Have now played many rounds with it and am in general very happy with it. I see no difference compared to the freebie Top Flight XL balls. Admittedly, I do lack control, but belief me, I have been able to land on a 140yrd green and checked it within a 12". My swing speed is an amateurish 70mph, but I do get 160yds from a 3 wood. It is resistant to scuffing and I am happy putting with it. I am now testing and trying other balls to see any discernable difference, but for a high handicapper like myself, I confess I do lack the appreciation of the finer qualities of premium / designer balls. Apart from that, it is a ball well worth having a bash with. It is far less upsetting when you do slice, hook, lake or loose it. It is also comfortable to be able to blame it on the ball - at this early stage. Start with the best - you've only got yourself to blame, and that is getting tooooo personal. Happy play!
