This has got to be the least expensive wound ball on the market--less than a buck a piece by the 18 pack. Behaves a bit like a 2 piece distance ball around the green, but is all performance ball on full shots. I hit a lot of long, straight crackers with these so I didn't feel a distance loss compared to other solid core, Surlyn covered wound balls. A bit of softness around the green is not a bad sacrifice for a ball that costs a mere 1/3 to 1/4 of other wound balls.
