While attending a Continental Tire meeting in Jamaica, I played golf at The Cinnamon Hill Golf Course at The Rose Hill Hilton. I had brought some random golf balls from home to play with, I had with me one Wilson TRUE distance ball, this ball had a good feel to it and on the 6th hole at Cinnamon Hill, a Par 3 and 146 Yards I put it in for my first Hole-In-One! What a feeling! Using rental clubs and wearing sneakers. I could not believe it!

Got a sleeve of these from a non golfer for Christmas. I used the True Tour before (See review) and hated it so was n't expecting much from this. I decided to use them today in a non important event and I must say I was very impressed. These balls are very long of the tee with a great trajectory. They are supposed to have a slightly higher compression than other balls and I think is the reason for the great feel off the driver. Off the irons they didn't feel quite as good as some others but they still stoped okay on well struck shots. Putted good and chipped well with them. All in all a good ball that I'd use in normal competition. Anyone know where I can get some?

This is the ball I have been looking for. It competes equally on distance as the PRO V-1, has similar touch around the green and is certainly more durable. Not sure what to make of the 'perfect balance' but I guess it could make a difference on massive putts. I would urge any golfer of any standard to pick up a sleave for their next round and give it a go. Excellent.

I'm a crappy golfer who's always looking for any edge I can get. I picked up a Wilson in the woods one day and started using it. Two holes later, I chipped in for birdie from 12 feet off the green. Immediately after that round, I bought a box of them. The next week, at a company golf tournament, I chipped in another bird. Maybe all that "balanced ball" stuff is just hype and it's a placebo effect kind of thing. Whatever it is, it works for me. I love this ball. Oh, the distance moniker? This ball flies, it really does, but the way it holds a line on the green is by far its best quality.

You know I hate myself, because I'm one of these types of golfers who wants to try out every new ball on the market. I'm still searching for the ball that best suits my game. For me, I am interested in a ball that putts well, and helps with reducing sidespin. Well, this season I heard all of the hype about the Wilson True Distance, and on recommendation from a pro shop in New Jersey, I purchased a sleeve. Now normally, I loose alot of balls when I play a round of golf. Well, I didn't loose alot of the Wilson's. Even with mis-hits, these balls keep you in play. The True Distance, like any other golf ball, will not save you if your swing is yucky and you're hooking and/or slicing all over the place. But, I you have a fairly consistent swing, the ball works! I've played four rounds of golf with the True Distance and found them to have great distance and soft feel. In fact, I've outdistance some of my golfing partners. I believe this is due to me practing on my swing, and the properties of the ball. The True Distance is great for pitches and chipping. It stops well on the greens whether fast or slow. Where I was most impressed was in the putting department. The True Distance holds it's line better than most balls, which tend to go right or left close to the hole. I may misfire on a putt, but the True Distance holds it's line. I do in fact believe in the whole "balanced" claim. With the True Distance, you don't have to concerned with "brand name aiming", such as with Nike's or Titleist balls. You don't have to worry about finding the heavy or light side of ball to line up when putting. It seems that no matter where you putt the ball, it holds it line. So, the balanced stuff holds water as far as I am concerned. The other thing about the True Distance is that is it a very durable ball. I've hit it off of trees and such, and no marks appeared on the ball. Wilson has done golf a great service by creating this ball and it's sibling the True Tour. Unfortunately, most golfers will not try the ball out, because the general concensus among golfers is to play the best balls in golf means to play Titleist or Nike or Percept. Be as it may, a golfer who plays with the True Distance will surprise some who play Pro V1's or Nike TA's, especially in the putting category. I will keep on playing this ball. I do wish Wilson made just a tad less expensive.

Straight, Straight, Straight! This ball has very little side spin and excellent distance. (Without being rock hard like most distance balls.) This ball is advertised as being "true" and balanced for putting. Ironically, this ball is a little difficult to putt. Distance control is not easy. (The Strata Tour Ultimates are my standard for putting and these balls take far more effort to control.) That said, I made my first Eagle with the True Distance--greatly influencing my opinion.
