A stumble for Adidas and me with the Tour Metal (reviewed elsewhere on this site) was corrected with the Tour 360. I think Adidas is leading (or at least joining) the movement that opposes the 'golf shoes are just dress shoes with spikes added' school of thought.

The most obvious (and best) feature of this shoe is the midfoot section. Most shoes that attempt to 'hug the foot' do so via a tight toe box or a tight heel section. This shoe does the obvious (in hindsight) and makes the midfoot the focal point of fitting/securing the shoe.

The 3-D FitFoam concept is all very nice, I'm sure, but like most insoles they will probably wear out long before the outside of the shoe. They are comfortable upon first wear, unlike many golf shoes. Padding around the collar is beefed up compared to most models and is a bit stiff against the ankle/heel at first.

After about 6 months of use they are still completely waterproof and dry. The wraparound toe protector is a nice touch, as is the sole which flexes freely. Grass/debris does not clog the sole nearly as much - this was a significant problem with many golf shoes in the plastic-spike era, Adidas or otherwise.

As of this writing they are still quite expensive but like most street shoes these days crossing the $140-150 barrier is almost a necessity to get something that can be kept/worn for longer than a single season/year.

Customer Service

Purchased online through TGW.com, who seem to get, list and stock products a lot more quickly than their competition. They helped me with a warranty situation in a prior transaction and are always quick to ship.

Forget every shoe you've ever played in, this thing is the real deal. The 360 is most comfortable, high performance peice of footwear I've ever worn. I walk most of my rounds, and walking in the 360 is fantasic. It's almost like I'm wearing my favorite pair of sneakers. On top of the sheer comfort factor is the stability the shoe provides during the swing... adidas means it when they say in their ads "not just shoes, equipment" I feel like adidas is the first apparel company to create a pair of shoes with the idea in mind that golfers are atheletes on par with basketball or football players. It's about time one of the shoe companies started designing equipment that not only looks great but performs like no other. Footjoys days are numbered!!
