The other guy who reveiwed these shoes was right, to an extent. Yes the shoes are hard at the start and yes they do take a while to wear in but are you a pensioner or something? These shoes are now really comfy for me and they look brand new because they're tough as nails. I've yet to slip over in these shoes and I play in Queensland in the wet season. If you do find they're a bit hard, rub some dubbin water proofer into them, it really makes the material soft.

very hard shoes, take forever to break in, and when you do, you're ready to gte another pair of shoes. other than that, grip very easily, especially in sand, look great, but lack a lot in feel.
