Played this course right before Thanksgiving. I haven't really played in about ten years and getting back onto a course again was great. The reens were lightning fast and the fairways although a little long were in great condition. People that bagged on this court a few years ago really should give it another go. We played midweek and only saw 3 other people on there. Only thing that would have made the round more enjoyable was the weather. Which no-one has control over so cant complain.

Customer Service

This is a good municipal course that could be great. Like most municipals, the course is poorly maintained. I lost two balls that landed in the fairway! The greens were ok. The tee boxes fine. The layour fantastic, although short. Despite some of its problems, I would definitely recommend the course. It isn't like it costs 100 per round. For the money it's better than many in the area. Besides, if you are plating there you're probably a mediocre at best hacker, so who cares.

Customer Service

Very nice people.

Fairways are pretty hard, and the yardages from the tees on the par fours and fives are way off. No way I can hit a 480 yard hole with 3-iron, 7-iron. Greens were green, but a little bumpy. A decent course to play on a weekday afternoon when it is not too crowded. The middle eight holes are a challenge.

This course says it all. You run into those tough par 4'2 on the back and those easy par 3's on the front. It can be a challenging course at times but its one of the best municipal courses you could ever play.

Customer Service

Great customer service, never had any better.

People told me I should play this course. All I could get was a tee time on the Karakung course (the lesser of the two). Once I finally found the clubhouse, I got paired up with a couple great guys. I can't blame the course guys for the fact that it has rained so much in Phillly lately, but someone really has to cut the tees, fairways, even the rough. The greens were in very good shape considering the rest of the course. I think I lost 3 balls, and 1 of them hit the fairway! I thought I'd get Lyme disease from ticks in the 1-2 foot grass around the fairways and past the tees. We couldn't get a cart because of the sogginess, so walking 18 holes carrying a bag wasn't too much fun. Also, with soaking wet feet because of the standing water in the fairways. Other than that..the layout is good. It just needs some maintenance...don't think I'll go back until I can ride and it gets a good dose of landscaping. One more thing...there is no break in this course! You go directly from 9 to 10...come on..you need to stop for a drink!

Customer Service

better than most!

The Olde Course is truley a gem of a course and the conditions are looking better than ever. Previous posters in late 2002 slammed conditions, but one must remember we just endured the WORST DROUGHT EVER. Trust me The olde Course is a MUST PLAY and considering the ridiciously low price and recent improvements, you have to be a moron not to play here often.

Customer Service

warm and hospitable, much improved froma few years ago.

This historic course is a gem. Would like to see more money given to maint. but your working with a corpoorate company. Course was green as could be and the greens were fast as lightning. tee boxes have grass too. the biggest thing i would like to see is the walls for the creek rebuilt and a better half way house.

Customer Service

staff was very nice and professional, the starter was helpful with us gettin of the tee and info about the course

This course used to be great. Now i feel like I'm playing above the underground railroad. everywhere i look theres black ids popping out of no where. i played last saturday and tuesday i opened my bag up and a black kid popped out asking me for change. after i turned down the "weed" he offered me i was on the 9th hole and couldn't find a hot dog. the clubhouse was nowhere to be found. thank u for ur time. the younger students in the clubhouse seemed to be doing a wonderful job.

It is just a shame that such a nice course has been let go. If just a little bit of effort would be put into patrolling the course, and maintaining certain areas, it would make such a difference. The layout of the front nine makes for some fun holes.
