This club sports an enormous head, and makes a hideous clunking sound at impact. But the resulting ball flight, penetrating and long, is hard to argue with. The stock Fuji shaft has a very nice feel to it. One other unfortunate thing, the club fits very poorly into the headcover, and practically has to be forced in. Still, a nice effort from Adams, and will work very well for higher handicappers and slow swingers. Test drove the Ping ISI, Callaway, and Adams in the simulator. Loved the Adams. First time on a range, I noticed a hairline crack on the toe. Adams offered to replace- no problem. Before I had the chance to exchange it, on Father's Day, my father-in-law took a test swing with it and hit the gravel driveway!! Adams saved his life and my marriage by still offering to replace. I switched from a Nike 350cc to the Redline. I personally have more confidence in my swing now, knowing I have a large margin for miss hits. I am not a long ball hitter but I did notice more straighter and longer shots with the Redline compared with a bad hook and average distance with my Nike. The sound was not as bad as I was expecting. It is different but not "odd". I paid a total of $200 for the club off Ebay.....this club is a steal at this price. Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Nike 350cc |

I am an 11 Hcp that rarely hits the fairway. On most of the courses in the Chicago area missing the fairway = bogey. I have always played drivers that were popular on tour but probably weren’t for my game. I finally gave a lesser know driver a shot. This driver has helped me hit more fairways and more importantly when I miss a fairway, I barely miss it. I now find myself in the 1st cut rather than under or behind a tree. The Redline is a terribly forgiving driver. No feel at all –If you are looking for feel don’t buy this driver. You won’t know if you missed a quarter inch toward the toe or heel. It’s loud but not ridiculously loud. I have played a few rounds and haven’t heard anyone complain about the sound –it does sound a lot like an aluminum bat. It is easy to hit straight or draw. I can’t fade it at all. This club has been perfect for me. I have been playing an 8.5 975J-VS. I find the Redline to be almost as long at 10.5 and WAY more forgiving. The Redline is definitely longer on miss-hits. It has since replaced the JVS in my bag. I think most (85%) golfers are happy to be in the fairway or 1st cut. Most can’t and never will need to “work” the ball. Still have the stock fujikura shaft. May replace with the blue and may make it a bit shorter. 46” is a little uncomfortable for me. If you are interested in purchasing this try ebay. It is much cheaper than the pro-shops. Customer Service Not used Similar Products Used: Titleist J-VS 8.5; Ping ISI 8.5; Taylor Made 300 series |

Boom! I have a 50" Penley ETA XXX shaft in the 8.5 head and with the first swing it was awesome. I tee the ball almost 4" for lots of carry on the course and in some longdrive competitions. If you can get used to the sound, you'll have lots of fun with this club. |

First impressions - this club is long! As everyone knows, the club has a COR of .83 and a head size of 460cc. I have the 9.5 degree and hit it quite high with the stock Fujikura shaft. Direction - I'd say this club has a tendency to hit it straight with a slight draw. I've hit few fades. It's also harder to move it left to right or right to left. Ball Flight - quite high in my opinion Fujikura Shaft - it feels a little soft for a 'S' flex - definitely not as stiff as the UST 65 or 75. Distance - outstanding - very long. I swear I can almost feel the trampolean effect in the head. Sound - Loud (but I'll get used to it if I can consistently hit it 265) Forgiveness - very very good. I thought I mis-hit it but ended up 20 yards further then my partners in the dead centre of the fairway (around 250) For the average golfer I would definitley give this club a try if you don't mind the size. For the guy that wants to shape the ball a lot, a smaller headed driver would probably be more suitable. Redline 9.5* Regular shaft
I'm a beginner. I just bought the Redline and tried it out at a range today. I can say that this is a great driver for a beginner like me. I hit 250+ yards for the first time. Most shots went straight unless I really messed up my swing. The head is big and the clubface is large so it's hard to mis-hit. I let a guy at the range tried it and he hit it almost 300 yards. I am looking forward to using this club on a course. Highly recommend it for anyone, beginner or experienced golfer. |

Adams Redline 8.5 w/ Blue
The redline is a large head, but the size is distributed well so that it is not overly deep at address. Alignment is reasonably easy, not as easy as say a 975D, but good enough. The club sounds like an aluminum bat hitting a baseball, and it does not give the feeling of really squashing the ball like a 75D - more of a hollow hit feel. But - the redeeming features - it seems to be very consistent directionally and it has a large sweetspot - meaning that bad misses are rare, near misses and quite good, and direct hits are what they always are. Using a Grafalloy Blue shaft I find the distance about the same (on center face hits) as my LFE, just much more consistent and a tigher dispersion. The Blue shaft is a nice upgrade on this club. I find the ultralight Fujis a tad too soft on aggressive swings, requiring more effort to time the head. The Blue has removed any restriction on going after it. A good stick that stays in the bag. I HAVE PLAYED GOLF FOR 30 YEARS AND HAVE TRIED A LOT OF CLUBS.I USED TO LAUGH AT GUYS WHO WOULD USE THOSE HUGE HEADED DRIVERS,BUT WHEN I DECIDED TO UPGRADE THIS YEAR I THOUGHT I MIGHT AS WELL TRY ONE.I TRIED ALL THE DIFFERENT CLUBS AT THE NEARBY PRO SHOP.THE ADAMS LOOKED BIG AT ADDRESS AND IT SOUNDED VERY PINGING ON CONTACT,BUT BOY DID THIS CLUB PERFORM.I AM HITTING THE BALL A GOOD 20 YARDS FARTHER BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I AM HITTING THE FAIRWAYS WITH MORE CONSISTENCY.THIS CLUB IS OBVIOUSLY NOT FOR EVERYBODY DUE TO THE SIZE AND THE SOUND,BUT I DONT PLAY GOLF FOT LOOKS OR SOUND I PLAY FOR RESULTS AND THIS CLUB DELIVERS.THIS CLUB HAS A GOOD BORING TRAJECTORY THAT GIVES A GOOD ROLL AFTER LANDING.I NEVER GET ONE OF THOSE SOFT FLOATING SHOTS THAT I GOT WITH SOME OF THE OTHER MAJOR NAME CLUBS.I BOUGHT THIS WITH A FACTORY INSTALLED STIFF GRAFFALLOY BLUE SHAFT NOT THE STANDARD FUJIKURA SHAFT THAT USUALLY COMES WITH IT. Bought it today and returned it today. I have played with a Callaway GBB/ Harrison shaft for the past 6 years and the Adams is just too big. Adams makes a great product, its long and straight, but I did not really feel like I could work a 460cc clubhead, nor be comfortable at address with it. The shaft also worried me a bit as it appeared to have a bit of a high launch angle. To me this club is more for the average weekend golfer who is looking for distance, especially those with a little slower swing speed than my 105-110.
