I have to give this club a negative review due to the fact I can out drive it with my ERC 3 wood, its very noisy, sounds like you hit the ball with a trash can, I had it shafted with a Harrison titanium stripper so I can blame the shaft. I just purchased a Nicklaus Airmax 430 S which is far superior to the Bang. With the Mellow Yellow I was averaging maybe 230 yards, my first drive with the Nicklaus was over 260 yard.

Very, very long and straight to boot. Great looking club. Dosn't look overwhelming behind the ball. Nice solid feel. Matched head with Penley JD signature shaft. Great combo and can't beat the price. Must admit I'm a little uneasy about the reviews that mention breakage. I've got 200 range balls and 3 rounds on it so far without incident. If it holds together it will be some of the best golf money I've spent (300+ yards numerous times). If not I'll definately post a follow-up.

No experience with Bang. In Golf is fantastic. Check them on the web.

I bought the MY420 driver, FW woods, and iron set. The club was really nice at first, but I put a crack in the driver head the first day I took it to the driving range. Hopefully, there is just a slightly high defect rate and the replacement suits my swing speed. The irons and FW woods feel great! I'll update my review when I get back from testing my new set of clubs in mexico!

Customer Service

Gallaghergolfdirect.com is the best place I have ever bough clubs from online. They are flexible, and go the extra mile for their customers. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for clubs.

Easy there Cole, review below me, this is a solid club head, but never hitting a slice or fade again??? Come on man. lol. I think this club is a great value for the quality you get. I have a 93-95 mile per hour swing speed so I bought the 12* model, put a penley reg. flex shaft in it and it hits like my old cleveland 10.5 launcher 330. except i get about 10-15 yds more roll with the mellow yellow(my). When I really get ahold of it I can hit it about 250, ave propably around 225. The 5wood is solid also. I have the my 420 irons on order as well. As a club junkie I have found that I pretty much play the same no matter what equipment I use, with the my clubs at least I will be styling out on the course. You either love the my or you hate it.

Customer Service

Gallagher golf direct is excellent for putting together the club you want to assemble but do not know how. I told them the shaft, head, and grips I wanted on the driver and 5w, and clubs were delivered within the week.

This was the first year that I bought a put together club and I will never go back. I first bought a Integera Soo Long and boy did the ball come off hot on that club I was hitting 280 to 290 which was 30 plus better than my old hunk of junk. The head clacked after 100 swings so I decided to try the Mellow Yellow. The best club I have ever seen. Looks amazing and hitts amazing also. Never hook or slice. Hit the ball on average 290 to 300 1 out every 5 hits it will go 300 to 320. The ball pops off the head like a rocket and it never slows down. When the ball lands I get a great run also. I will never go away from bang again. I like it so much I just bought a Mellow yellow fairway wood and the Iron set to go along. With the Mellow Yellow in my Bag i always have people ooing. Since I have bought the driver 4 guys that I golf with have also orderd THe Mellow Yellow.

Model Reviewed: Bang Dark Matter 400 CC

I have been a marginal driver of the ball most of my life, quite long (270-280) but inconsistent accuracy. Last couple summers a friend of mine and local club maker (who I used to routinely outdrive) started hitting longer and up right beside me. When I looked in his bag I saw he was hitting the Bang Dark Matter. I decided to give it a try. He set me up with the head and combined it with a Penley Stealth shaft. Driving has gone from one of my liabilities to the strength of my game. Club looks and feels great, inspires confidence. In addition to accuracy, I also found another 10 -15 yards. Best golf purchase I have ever made.

Customer Service

Club maker found the perfect head and shaft combination to fit my game. Excellent service.

Model Reviewed: Bang Mellow Yello

After reading about the average golfer needing a higher lofted driver I thought I would pick up a 10.5* Mellow yellow to replace my Taylor Made 320 9.5*. What a mistake! I was hitting the 320 very well but thought I needed a little more carry. 1 out of 5 with the Mellow Yellow would go higher and I couldn't tell much difference in distance. I admit I have only used the Mellow Yellow 4 times at the range and once at the course, but feel like I wasted $150. The 320 hits much more consistently and I have much more confidence. I wish I could get my money back.

A waste of money. Sounds bad, hits like a trash can lid. I gave it to a kid on the range and left. Now I know I will never stray from Titleist, Taylor Made or the other guys. It's no wonder the pros don't use component garbage.

Great feel, The striper TI shaft was a great choice, both in looks and funcion. Play this head with a distance ball and watch your balls land near the 300 sign. I hit fairly well when i slow down, its the rest of my game that needs help. As far as drivers go, this one delivers. A pal of mine hits a 6* GBB and after hitting my yellow likes it a whole lot more. The head is so light and easy to rip around for the long bomb. I have a 10.5* face and the ball just booms of the face, good sound nice feel. great club!

Customer Service

Gallagher Golf Direct was the best internet company I ever worked with! Their staff had tons of options and gadgets for the club. Offered Winn Grips and custom Made shafts! Great at quetions and shipping was super fast considering I live overseas!

I am a Long Drive wanna a be, and had no idea whay to buy. I have caved faces in on stock drivers, I drive par fours, and have broken shafts. So I went to the local custom club makers and we tried a couple different clubs out. After putting a dent in another new head i figured i would step up and put my money on something really good. The Mellow Yellow was quarenteed to take a head speed of 130 mph plus so i figured why not. I have hit over 9000 golf balls with it and it stills is turning heads and knocking them well over 320 yards. I picked a 50 inch XXX Penley Ultron shaft, i figured it should keep up.

Customer Service

Howie was a great help at, Golf Nut Custom Club in Port Moody. And he got me a good deals, thanks Howie.
